  1. So hard to love Trae. I try but it's extremely hard man. Still early in the season of course that is everyone's main go to. He'll come around. He starts off slow. Sure, he's all of that.
  2. DJM. Euro version, with ears cropped and tail docked. A true workhorse stud Trae. Feisty, lots of bark not much bite Dre. Terrible coordination JC. Lovable family pet that makes everyone smile Capela. Slow gentle giant
  3. Team looked good with Trae out. IJS
  4. Will Nate be the reason you get to the finals? Miami coach gets the most put of his players. Udoka got the most out of Celtics. Draymond Green became an allstar. Raptors are always in it. When I look at the Hawks it's kinda boring. Unless their shooting is hot. What offensive sets does he run? Trae stands around if he doesn't have the ball. No motion what so ever
  5. What if the Hawks were coached by an NBA coach who has been in NBA with success for some time? To me, Nate will always be an assistant coach to another assistant coach who was fired and now back to being to an assistant coach. I dont think he knows how to use his players and his creativity is 0 across the board.
  6. Hey bud I'm just calling what I see with my eyes. You say I'm old school but I like Morants game a lot. I like Darius Garlands game a lot. You used the selfish word with Trae not me. I dont mind the shimmy, all I was saying was don't rush to get to the shimmy. Let it come with the flow of the game. It will come with a little more patience in my opinion. You have to let that ECF appearance go bud. The East is a gauntlet NOW with defensive powerhouses. I am not asking for Trae to be Murray, I'm asking for Trae to have another year of maturity. Hunter knows what a championship feels like. It wasn't the NBA but still has champion in his blood. Use him, feed him. Collins is fully healthy with a chip on his shoulder. Feed him. Murray is a creator and generator. Trae doesn't need to be Trae old and do EVERYTHING. He can literally chill more, preserve his energy and get easier buckets.
  7. I may get hate or be called a hater but I am disappointed in Trae game. Still forces up shots to get his numbers, still shoots low % threes, still doesn't let the offense come to him. It's like he's always looking for the homerun/youtube highlight play. He wants to shimmy and shake his chills so bad. I love how Murray plays though. It's just night and day. He seems more team oriented
  8. I'm not sure he's a good one on one guy against quality nba defenders. He struggled against hungry summer league defenders. Someone else's problems now though. We have our guards
  9. Well that definitely makes sense. I agree
  10. Then why even be out there? It's SL no need to risk injury playing every game in games that mean nothing.
  11. Uh boy, is this place some secret boys club or something? Is there some sort of ceremonial rite of passage I must go through to join the hawks mens club? Some sort of initiation? I'm new, what's the scoop sport?
  12. SL is a way to work on your game against hungry vets looking for a team and against hungry rooks looking to prove they belong. It's a good measuring stick to see where you are against other competitors. I'm starting to see why this dude stayed in college park. Against a hungry Celtics D, Miami D, Warriors D, they'd eat him alive. Jared Butler prides his defense and it showed in only SL
  13. Hawks could have drafted Jared Butler and BJ Boston over JJ and undersized, slower, highly inferior to Trae S. Cooper
  14. I guess we should wait and see how this year plays out. I know Nate can't coach, but I'm interested to see why TS brought in Fields. Is it because he played, he's young and can give a more clear perspective of talent or is he here to fire Nate, clean TS mess up, and keep TS employed?
  15. As well as he should be. Nate is an assistant coach. Maybe even a third coach. He's not creative, his teams play too slow, and he's a terrible developer of young talent. The toys are being given to him. No excuses
  16. Wish we could deal Nate over Bogi
  17. Guess we will see. Hopefully he's not in G-league all season. Hope Nate can get these guys good looks
  18. SG...Monta Ellis was the point. David Lee got replaced and Draymond is the hybrid point. Curry himself will tell you he's not a point guard. You could've said the Lakers. I was giving the perfect chance but you fell into the obvious casual basketball trap. Magic is the one but we know Trae is not Magic.
  19. Haha you can keep going? So can I bud. KAT barely played leading up to the game. Taking someone spot who has earned it by playing? Sorry, not how it works. And Embiid was coming off his 2nd foot injury. He was basically a rookie my man on a god awful team. Trae is the star. Every player you've named were not superstars. They would never start on an Olympic team. I can be a fan and be honest building around Trae won't lead you to a chip. Iverson didn't get one, Nash didnt get one. And CP3 hasn't. You will continue to be in denial and say things like but but but, he stepped on a refs foot. But but but Miami sent the whole team at him. But but but he doesn't have players around him. You cannot find me a championship team who has built the way the Hawks are preparing to build now around a shoot first point guard.
  20. No I understand brother this year, but you were talking about a Derozen that played with the Spurs. Those numbers were not Bulls numbers. He made the all star this year by this season numbers. Devin Booker wasn't even the leader of his team. And Gobert wasn't even the leader of his team. Trae is your leader and he cried about being snubbed in what his second year? Third? I'm a huge Hawks fan, I just never liked the Trae young pick and all my concerns are popping up. As a fan I have no choice but to deal with him. He's Josh Smith all over again.
  21. Superstars? I'm talking superstars. Trae is considered a superstar, correct? Derozen on his third team. Trae his first few years has played for Trae. He stat pads
  22. 1. I understand he did that in H.S. my point was he was a walking bucket all his career but a smart bucket. Outside, mid range, lay up package and assists. He bulked up for defense. You're talking about a past his prime CP3. No, why would Phoenix build around a 30+ pg on his 5th team? 2. Everything Trae has done up to this point has been for Trae accolades. The guy was so bummed he didn't make the allstar team last year. What superstar you know cares about an exhibition game snub? Don't say Dame. Yes that 30 footer. The God awful low percentage shot is equivalent to Josh Smith shooting threes. The crowd moans everytime he jacks it up. For God sakes Trae, we know you can shoot it from 30. Every nba player can. Problem is he needs the ball to function properly. So another ball handler won't help his game unless he's able to run around like a Curry. But Curry is bigger and stronger to move through bodies. Reggie Miller was bigger and stronger and was able to weave in and out of traffic to get open for the corner three. Nate can't draw up a stale offense where Trae just stands in the corner. 3. He's been figured out in the playoffs. Good teams don't show their hands in the regular season. Defense is a team sport? Sure, tell that to Draymond and Wiggins. Jayson Tatum... 37.5% when guarded by Wiggins. Jaylen Brown...29.4% when guarded by Draymond. 1-15 from three.
  23. Warriors won with 70% Klay, a 22 yr old Poole, and brick shooting draymond, Kevon looney. Grizz won a lot of games this season without morant. Nuggets have superstar mvp. Mavs have 2nd best player in the league. All teams who made the playoffs in a better Western conference. Warriors deserve that one. They played hard
