  1. Didnt he come in as a highly regarded offense playcaller? explain to me how Vinny Testaverde can come in and be ready to play in less than a 1 week, when Leftwich cannot? how much do you blame coaching for this year's lack of success? we lost 2 games by 1 TD. we could easily be 3-3 right now.
  2. ok, so playing against WNBA players your team lost 15 - 9. care to take a guess what the score would be if you guys played NBA players? i say the WORST NBA team can beat the WNBA ALLSTAR TEAM any day of the week. when it comes to basketball, men and women are not at the same (or even similar) level. im not trying to be disrespectful... im just telling you guys how it is.
  3. i too do not believe that they can go 16-0. I think they are CAPABLE of doing it, but realistically speaking thats so hard. 1 injury to a skill position can change the outcome of any given game. So, unless its week 13 and they are 12-0, im not going to predict a perfect season. that being said, i think its pretty clear that the Pats are dominant! They beat the best team in the NFC. The Pats have the fewest weaknesses of any team ive seen this season. but yeah, circle the date. Pats vs Colts is going to be a very good game. Could well be the AFC championship preview.
  4. 6'11" 170 lbs will make REGGIE MILLER look like a body builder.
  5. i agree LOOSE BALLS is a very light book. an easy read. very entertaining. gives you an inside look at a NBA player's life. http://www.amazon.com/Loose-Balls-Money-Fo...s/dp/0767905695
  6. Im very disappointed. Titans were the better team on the field today, but we made more BIG PLAYS and kept the game close. The defense did its job at the end, but the offense was horrible. The O-LINE cant create any holes for our RBs and keep getting pushed back. The O-LINE isint giving either QBs enough time to throw the ball. W/ 1 yard to go, i thought it would have been an easy TD.
  7. all I know is that the SUNS were close. If they beat SPURS, they may have won the whole thing. And we know that the SPURS game was as competitive as ever. Then you have the MAVS who went to the finals. If Wade didnt take 30 free throws a game, they may have won? You also have the SAC KINGS who gave Lakers a lotta trouble. i personally feel that the whole Up-Tempo vs Half-Court offense is overrated. Go w/ what your GOOD at. Go w/ the strategy that gives you the BEST CHANCE to win ball games. For some teams thats the running game. For others its half-court offense.
  8. what a nice win! it feels good to get that first win. few negative thoughts: 1) our DBs Sanders and Houston need to defend better. 2) no run game yet. you have to be able to run the ball in order to maintain leads and play against the stronger teams in this league. the positives: 1) our offense is very efficient. Our team is one of the best in 3rd down conversions. Harrington is playing well, the O-Line is blocking well, and our WRs caught all the balls they were supposed to catch this week. Keep up the good work guys! 2) I really like the progression of our WRs. 3) John Abraham is healthy and himself. Im very confident that once Rod Coleman comes back, we will be able to get a lot of pressure on the QB. pressure on the QB makes it easier for our LBs and our DBs to make big plays. 4) Last but not least, every week we are improving as a team. Whenever we have a problem it seems like we are working very hard to correct the problems and the hard work is paying off. we see it out on the field. our division this year is not as strong as it has been in the past. while im not going to overreact after 1 game, i dont see any reason why we cannot be a COMPETITIVE team week in and week out.
  9. Leandro Barbosa is 85? someone really likes BARBOSA.
  10. i saw the game and heres my take: Hall did a great job of being physical w/ Steve Smith and preventing him from making an impact in this game. Beside the 1 pass interference where he was beat (btw- the pass interference saved us a TD cuz he was beat bad), Hall played very well. However, his emotions did get the best of him in the 2nd half. yes, the refs were lil picky when it comes to handing out penalties but we cant worry about the refs... we gotta keep our composure and play our game. I never understood the move to trade Rossum and have Jennings as our return man. i dont agree w/ that at all. However, i do like the change w/ Norwood as our return man. Hes a playmaker and we need him involved as much as possible. Props to our O-LINE and D-LINE (or John Abraham). my only criticisms this weak: 1) We are efficient when we have 3-4 WRs on the field. Why abandon the passing game when its working? 2) You are down by 10, 4 minutes left. could we play w/ a sense of urgency please? we need to score, play defense, and kick a fg... c'mon, hurry the **** up! 3) Run defense in the 2nd half. couldnt stop the run even when we know its coming. we solved many our of major problems, but we still have to work on a few things.
  11. yeah our division is weak this year. i dont think we are as HORRIBLE as ESPN makes us out to be (btw- espn has us as the worst football team). we just have to work on the little stuff. on every aspect of the game (special teams, offense, defense).
  12. i was hoping we sign LEFTWICH and ANDERSON. cant wait til sunday. steve smith vs deangelo hall! we could have won both games. freak interception by a DL, jenkins drops a pass leading to INT and TD, and peterson's run for TD made all the difference in game 1. game 2- we make the FGs we're suppose to make... and we're up and playin clock management. we should have won this game.
  13. Josh Smith is only 2 points better than Boris Diaw. would anyone trade Smith for Diaw straight up?
  14. Falcons kicker Matt Prater lost the game for us. Bring back Morten Anderson. I feel like if we're up 13-7, we'd could play clock management and close out the game. Defense played well. not spectacular, but well. I feel that our defense will keep us competitive in most games. Offense was decent. I have 3 main concerns regarding our offense: 1) Deep Threat. We have to add it to our gameplan. It'll open up the medium/short passes and the run game. 2) Hurry up offense/2 minute offense. Suppose we're down 14-10 and its 2 minutes left w/ no timeouts. Would u trust this offense to come out w/ a touchdown? So far, i dont. 3) Sacks. I think our O-LINE did better this game and some of the sacks was on harrington's part (just waiting too long in the pocket). I think its improving but its still a work in progress. special teams: not even going to comment. easily our weakest area. get in a reliable kicker and a good return man (i think jerious norwood should be our KR and PR) and ill be happy.
  15. over the years, i considered myself to be a bigger 50 cent fan than a kanye fan. that being said, i heard both cds and my initial review favors kanye's cd over 50 cent's cd. kanye's music is starting to grow on me. i dont think 50 said he was going to retire. i think the bet was "if kanye outsells me, i wont come out w/ anymore solo albums... just appearences here and there for other rapper's cds." at least that is the impression i received. i dont think kanye will hold him to it. seems like a friendly competition to boost up sales. ur right about kanye appealing more to the general public. kanye grew up in a middle class home and 50 is as we all know Mr "I got shot 9 times."
  16. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3014077 check it out!
  17. Matt Schaub looks good. Randy Moss is motivated! Carolina is the only team in our division that won a game in week 1.
  18. *DEFENSE* we played solid defense w/ the exception of Peterson's TD. my only criticism is the lack of pressure on Tavaris Jackson. Seemed like Jackson wasnt rushed or pressured at all. Sending just 4 defensive linemen on every possession will not work especially w/ rod coleman out. send a LB here and there and surprise them! they pressured us. they sacked us. why couldnt we take advantage of playing against first fulltime starter Tavaris Jackson? *OFFENSE* The 2 INTs are very misleading. I feel like the first INT was a freak play by the Vikings DT Kevin Williams. I saw Julius Peppers do that to Vick once. More times than not, the DL will just knock it down and not intercept it + return it for a TD! the 2nd INT brought back memories from last year. CATCH THE D*MN BALL JENKINS! now, i love the efficiency. but can we use all of the field? add a deep play here and there. I only remember 1 deep pass (to Roddy White). i want to see more plays for our playmakers- Joe Horn, Alge Crumpler and Jerious Norwood. less roddy white/michael jenkins and more joe horn/alge crumpler. please! *SPECIAL TEAMS* uhm... wheres ALLEN ROSSUM? (traded to STEELERS). adam jennings? hmm... new Kicker? Mr. No Name. hmm... special teams = big question mark!
  19. i blame this season's downfall on 1) Pitching 2) Andruw Jones
  20. Marcus Fizer? Tskitishvili? bust or not, at least Olowokandi is still in the league!
  21. I feel like this trade is pretty much CHILDRESS for CAMBY. LoWright and AJohnson can be easily replaced, so losing them doesnt hurt us at all. Personally, i would be all for this trade.
  22. We are 5 games back for wild card and 5 games back from being the division leader. right now is our BEST chance to move up. we gotta take the series between both teams.
  23. 3 years, 21 million was more than fair... for sprewell. at the time, i thought he was worth a mere mid-level exception (5 million a year). whats up w/ Charles Oakley and his "i want a 9-10 million a year contract" ??? isint the guy 50 years old?
  24. yeah, i know what you mean. i think theres a very small difference (if any) between a 7-9 team and a 9-7 team. i think LUCK has more to do w/ it than anything. like u said "a fumble here... an interception here... etc" i always saw DUNN as a playmaker. The guy can make nothing into something. Im hoping we utilize his talents well. Norwood is very similiar as well. Joe Horn looks great. We finally have a #1 receiver on our team. Im hoping Jenkins can become a reliable #2 receiver. i still stand w/ my original prediction. we go 7-9, 8-8, or 9-7. 9-7 get us in the playoffs... rite? wild card perhaps?
