    Gianni or A.D.

Please excuse the typo. I meant Giannis or A.D.

    Gianni or A.D.

No disrespect to Spud2Nique or Stuart but your topics got me thinking. As a hawk fan I would definitely love to have both players or either one of these superstars on our team. You can't lose with either one. I keep going back and forth. Today it's Giannis and then tomorrow I would pick A.D. If you could only take one, who would it be and why?
  3. Good list but I would only try to sign Teague if a deal is reasonable. Joe Harris and a guy like P.J. Tucker would be my picks. We need some toughness and gritty players. I really love Gordon Hayward but he'd probably cost too much and wouldn't take a reserve role.
  4. DeAndre Hunter, Kevin Huerter, Dewayne Dedmond, and a future 1st for Devin Booker. Booker isn't in his prime yet. He's only 25. I would move Cam to small forward. I would sign Gordon Hayward and bring in another big to backup Capela. If we win the lottery, I would take Edwards. If we're in the top three, I would take Wiseman. PG Trae, Trey Burke? SG Booker, Cam Reddish, A. Edwards? SF Cam Reddish, Gordon Hayward. PF John Collins, Skai? C Capela, Wiseman?
  5. Cam will be the best player on this team two years from now and most likely a top 10 player in the NBA. He's a mixture between Tracy McGrady and Paul George.
  6. P-Bird, If we get the first pick, would you take Wiseman instead of Edwards?
  7. I really like Edward and Wiseman. LaMelo and Deni are growing on me. I would try to trade the pick for an established player if I could.
  8. Good question. Yes I would trade that for Booker, Phoenix and Philadelphia would want a lot more. Joel Embiid is intriguing but the injury history would be a concern. LP would definitely be good for him though. Simmons, Oladipo, and Beal definitely not. Beal and Booker have similar games but Beal is too small for a shooting guard. Simmons just doesn't fit and I'm not a fan of Oladipo.
  9. I love John Collins. Don't give him the max but let's pay this man. He is a power forward and at 6-9 he couldn't play center fulltime. He can only play center against teams like Houston.
  10. Wow! I've noticed in every Hawk trade the payout is extremely high for us and we always lose the trade. No GM in his right mind would do that trade. I just love the hate for us. That reminds me of when Scottie Pippen asked Trae when will he get tired of losing. Then Stephen A. Smith made the statement Trae Young's numbers don't mean anything. If Trae was a Knick right now Stephen A. would be kissing his butt. Guys, embrace the hate because the league is now getting scared. They don't want a contender in Atlanta. Travis Schleck is the man.

  12. During the ATL vs. Minn. home game this year the hawks television guy, not Dominique mentioned how he talked to KAT. He said KAT mentioned liking this area and he remembered coming here during some summers with his grandfather and family who lived in this area. Go back and check it out, no lie. I love John Collins but if he has to go to get KAT it's a no brainer. Collins, Brooklyn's 1st, OKC's 1st, and 2 future 1sts, and Minnesota's preferred choice of an expiring contract of Crabbe, Turner, or Parsons. I'm not giving up Huerter and Hunter. Probably not Cam neither. I really love what Travis is doing. ATL forever.
  13. I don't know Supes, but I'm definitely ready for the ride. Michael Porter Jr. was my pick for the Hawks but now it will be harder to pick between him and Bagley. Nevertheless you can't lose with either one. I'd probably go with Bagley now but who knows how it will play out once the season is over. I also love Ayton, but I'm not a fan of Doncic. Let's pray our team doesn't overachieve and win too many games. These players are not finished products but I can't wait to see who improves the most by the end of the season. Bagley, Porter Jr., and Ayton in that order right now. I'm not a fan of Doncic or Miles Bridges but those guys might improve also. Trust in "The Movement"
  14. Northcyde I could be wrong but I believe we have a good owner. 1. Mr. Ressler realized he made a mistake in promoting Bud to president of basketball ops, and corrected the mistake. 2. Mr. Ressler also stepped back with his Millsap comments and let the GM do his job. 3. Mr. Ressler also stated he would spend money if needed. 4. Kept Coach Bud. 5. I like the Steve Koonin hiring and the collaboration with Emory Healthcare and PS3. I honestly believe things are changing for the better in our organization.
  15. Vol4ever I was born in 1971 and I've been a georgia sports fan all my life. A bulldog, a hawk, a falcon, a brave, a flame, a chief, a thrasher, a knight, a dream and a glory. I've supported every team except for Tech. The Hawks had great ownership wth Ted in the 90s and we had a great run until we traded Dominique. We've had terrible ownership since then. Now we have a legitimate owner and a good front office. I like our chances to do something special.
  16. Did anyone think Golden State would win another title? Anything is possible if you believe and get the right breaks. Before the 1991season, did anyone believe the Braves were going to the World Series. In 1995, did anybody believe the Braves would win the world series. Things always change and nothing can stay the same forever.
  17. Just relax my friends, believe in the Movement. Let's not use our assets on Kyrie now. We'll be in a much better place two years from now, when he opts out of his contract. Then we attack and try to get him to sign with us. Then once Kyrie is signed then we use our assets to acquire a player like Klay Thompson. Trading for Kyrie now doesn't make sense because we would have to give up most of our assets to get him. Plus, we'd win more games which would mess up the tanking strategy and he would probably opt out in two years anyway. Lets waited out.

Diesel, you made good points. However, I was no fan of Billy Knight but if we took Chris Paul instead of Marvin who knows where this franchise would be right now. Tanking wasn't wrong, we just drafted the wrong guy. We striked and got Joe Johnson. Coulda, shoulda, woulda but I can only imagine a team with Chris Paul, Joe Johnson, and a young Josh Smith. There would be no Horford or Landlord because we'd be a better team but man we can only imagine. TRW

    The Movement

Guys I wanted the Hawks to keep Millsap and THJ like many of you, even though I knew that wasn't the right thing to do. The right thing to do now is blow it up and not sign anyone else unless there 1year rental deals and gain more assets. (I would love to add Aldrich and the Minnesota 1st). We need to go with the young pups (Stone, Collins, Prince, Bazemore, DS17, Dorsey, Bembry, and Kaba, and let them gain experience while bottoming out. As of now, we're the worst team in the league so that at least guarantees us a top 3 pick, hopefully the #1 pick if the NBA rig machine is kind to us. I would take Michael Porter Jr. at 1, Bamba 2, Luca or Ayden at 3 in that order. If we get Porter Jr., I would immediately try to package the Houston and Minnesota picks with a player to get back in the top ten and select our homeboy Collin Sexton, the next big thing at point guard. Then the next draft, I would take the best player available. Can you imagine our current young group with Michael Porter Jr. and Collin Sexton added to the mix? That would be an exciting young team to watch. So let's keep the faith in Schlenk and Bud and get ready for the movement. Yes, not a tank, not the process, but the movement, (From counterfeit to being legit). It's going to be a fun ride my friends. TRW
  20. Just read an article on realgm with a quote from the fat guy(Windhorst) saying that Sap and the Hawks are discussing sign and trade scenarios. Hope it isn't true. I really want Sap to stay but at least we possibly get assets in any transactions. What about Sap for Thon Maker or Jabari Parker? Just say no to Houston and Daryl Morey because they think they're smarter than everyone else. My problem is with The Fat Guy, I know he's doing his job but where is he getting his info from. Is there loose lips in the front office? Could it be an agent? He always talks bad about the Hawks every chance he gets. I hope our GM starts calling people out for misinformation and defaming our franchise. Anyway just babbling. Who is the leak? TRW
  21. Power Forward but probably Center five years from now if the game keeps getting faster and smaller. TRW
  22. Supes you're right about Howard. Dwight could've averaged more points if Schröder knew how to feed him in the paint but with that said it was a bad fit from the beginning. 1. Horford stayed outside and that allowed Paul room to operate in the paint by driving or posting up. Dwight couldn't operate outside and it took away some of Paul's versatility, forced him to take too many long jumpers. 2. Horford and Paul both were great passers and could play off of each other. Dwight wasn't able to play the two man game. 3. Dwight's inability to get out of the lane also kept Schröder, Hardaway, and Bazemore from having clearer driving lanes to the basket. 4.I can't blame Dwight for everything but the offense ran smoother when he was on the sidelines. PS. Aldridge is no Millsap. Any sign and trade with Denver must first include Jamal Murray. So no to Houston, nothing good to offer. Any sign and trade with Sacramento must include Justin Jackson or Buddy Hield. Bring back Sap if the price is right. I understood why we didn't pay Al but he was surely missed this year on and off the court. TRW
  23. Kevin Durant will be eligible to receive a contract starting at 36 million but he's talking about taking only 32 to help out the Dubs. Curry will also get around 35 million a year if I'm not mistaken. So first, don't full yourself. The NBA salary cap is going up, not next year but surely in the next 2 to 3 years. Because you have too many players making mega money who aren't superstars, ex. Bradley Beal, Mike Conley, Nicholas Batum, Kemba Walker. They're good players but are they superstars, no. Think about Washington, they have to pay John Wall soon and he's going to get more than Beal and they have to pay Porter this year. So why not pay Millsap at least 30 for what he brings to the table. As for the Hawks cap number, you were close. The actual amount is 117,821,021 for next year, not including our draft picks. We don't need a superstar point guard with that lineup. We already have Delaney and Bembry. We also might take a point guard in the draft. Stopgaps like Raymond Felton, Deron Williams, Brandon Jennings, Aaron Brooks, Jose Calderon, and Jarrett Jack could all be serviceable. I'd rather put the ball in PG13 hands anyway. It works for Cleveland with LeBron because Kyrie isn't a point guard. In 2018-19, Al Jefferson and Dunleavy contracts would come off the books. Dwight's 23.5 will come off the next year. You would have PG13 Bird Rights, Millsap, THJ, Ilyasova, Howard, Bembry, our 3 draft picks from 2017, 2018 draft picks, and a ton of cash. And what if LeBron leaves after next season? You don't think we could compete with Boston and the other teams. My worst fear is we start tanking(rebuilding) and then LeBron leaves. I would be sick to my stomach. Just one man's impossible perspective. TRW
  24. I forget to tell you why. Jarrett Allen because of his potential offensively and defensively. He can block shots and switch on screens. Just needs to get stronger without losing agility. Semi O. can shoot the three and can play 3 or the 4. Has handles and looks like a winner. Frank Jackson is only 19 but he's very explosive. He can shoot the basketball. He's probably a tweener right now but could learn how to play the point. I see an athletic Step. Curry if he develops right. TRW
