  1. Is he though? Cause he’s a small center. I don’t see why he can’t be a better rebounding Al Horford.
  2. He’s already in the nba and is doing awesome. Arguing style of play fitting the nba is a debate from a year ago. The guy will always get buckets. Unless there is regression, he will at worst be an incredible 6th man that puts up numbers enough to consistently be in the 6th man of the year conversation. That’s assume no progression to shooting, which has positive signs based on FT%, and defense. John Collins is the best thing to happen to the Hawks in a decade. I’d stop being a fan if he were to be traded.
  3. I wouldn’t give up Collins for any pick. I’m too invested in him.
  4. I’d rather move Dennis for a first this year though. Brooklyn isn’t in the position to give away picks anymore, so I wouldn’t do this trade. The problem with trading Dennis is there is a lot of point guard talent in the league that is either established or was just taken with a high pick. It’s hard to find a team that needs a vet.
  5. He’s gonna have to show me he can shoot better to call him a unicorn. Which is how the term was originally used to describe Porzingis by KD. A 7 footer that has guard skills and can shoot the three.
  6. Alright while I agree with you about Sexton, this isn’t the way to go about getting him. To move up far enough to get him, assuming he doesn’t raise his stock, I would think it would take at least Dennis and 2 more firsts. Phoenix if they fall out of the top 5 makes sense, but I’d take Sexton in their situation.
  7. He definitely gave that game his all. And that’s what it took. He definitely has a nice it factor. I end up liking him more every time I watch Duke.
  8. Bagley would be fun here. We would score a ton. Defense wouldn’t be good, but Collins and Bagley would make a lot of highlights.
  9. I can see Lowry except 2 inches taller. Except he’s got that Kobe mentality to push him over the edge from all star to superstar.
  10. Ya know what? After watching the whole thing, I’d be happy to have him with any pick.
  11. Collin Sexton oh my goodness. That’s special. I’m still not down for a PG as long as Dennis is here. Not that I don’t think Sexton is better, but I think it’s better for the Hawks to go with another position as long as the prospect is still really good. And I’d say the only guys I would take over him even with Dennis here are the consensus top 5. Maybe not even Bamba.
  12. Yeah his defense is a problem, but honestly even if he’s never a good or even passable defender, he’s still pretty valuable. He’s just too good of a scorer to have fallen out of the lottery, hell even the top 10. I think he’s got the tools to be at least a passable defender since he gives all the effort.
  13. I’ve seen him being compared to John Collins by some draftniks after the Texas game. Not in style of play, but the fact that they are both stat stuffers who probably will do that wherever they play no matter what kind of impact they are actually making. I’ll say this, he does have that star power vibe to him. Scoring just looks effortless for him.
  14. Okay, so out of the top 5 guys this year, nobody has disappointed me yet. Porter not playing means he won’t get the chance to, but the other guys all look pretty darn good. Sure they all have strengths and weaknesses, but they aren’t stuff we didn’t know about. I guess what I’m saying is nobody is lowering there stock and they all have serious flashes of number one overall picks. Good stuff.
  15. Sheesh I had to watch that pass a couple times to see exactly what went down. It really was a laser.
  16. This we can agree on. He’ll probably be a great defender, but that ain’t enough for a top 3 pick.
  17. Its all about hitting. All draft philosophies have hits and misses. Hitting on potential has bigger hits but more misses. Swing for the fences. If you miss you get to try again next year. If you hit you get a franchise player.
  18. Diesel has spoken. Ayton has 27 and 14 against NC state tonight in a loss.
  19. If all of them play up to what they can do, I think Ayton is the best. He’s just an absolute freak.
  20. Yeah I watched that Collins game too. He’s such a baller. I’d definitely put some feelers out around the league on what people think Dennis is worth. His value will never be higher than it is this year when he has the full green light. If he can get a pick, or be a part of a package to get a decently high pick, i’d do it to get Sexton in addition to one of the top guys. I’m just not ready to say I’d take him top 5 yet.
  21. I doubt he’ll fall out of the top 5, but if he were to fall into the 6-10 range, could the Hawks put a package together to go up and get him? Collins is the only guy completely off limits.
  22. Collins is barely shorter than Al was, and he’s a much better rebounder. We will probably be in the same situation where people clamor for a “true” center every year
  23. fwiw. I just want good players. It doesn’t matter where they come from.
  24. But why? Those are all pretty good players from what I’ve seen. Musa just had an absolutely insane game. It’s the only game I’ve seen if his but he was shooting lights out.
  25. See I did feel that way, and Collins definitely has a center’s game, but I can’t help but be enticed by the centers in this draft especially when Doncic is the only consensus top guard.
