I've never bought a basketball jersey before, but I might have to get a Collins one. He's e first Hawk who is younger than me though, so I feel weird about it. I guess I understand why people don't like wearing jerseys now. This kid is a monster though and I want to be able to have proof I was in on the ground floor.

You have to shoot to survive in the NBA today. If he went completely old school he'd be cutting his value in half. If you are a big that can shoot and do nothing else you already get a decent contract. If you are a big that can't shoot at all, nobody wants you.

He can score in summer league! I agree with you. I liked Bembry as a prospect and really really wanted the Hawks to draft him and help him develop a jump shot. It hasn't happened yet. His 22 points at summer league I guess weren't as impressive to me as they were to some people. He handled the ball too much to have 2 assists and 7 turnovers.

Don't look now, but he's the only power forward we have. That will change, but he's pretty much guaranteed good minutes. If nothing else, he's the best rebounder on the team by far from day 1.

You don't invest all he invested to be cheap on the players. Ressler is the guy who said Millsap would be back at any cost. Clearly Schlenk convinced him that his plan was better.

Well both had Al so we will keep him out of this. Millsap, Teague, and Korver weren't even close to allstars before Bud got his hands on them. I think we forget that the players on that team were all elevated when Bud got here. After that 60 win year, people acted like we were underachieving.

I think part of the appeal of Brad Stevens is the age. Like he can do this for a long, long time. I also really like Bud, but Stevens is like the wiz kid which the media will really like. If Bud was to leave, I'd want to get someone like that too. I don't want Bud to ever leave, as he is what made me a Hawks fan in the first place, but IF all this media silence from him is actually indicative of his future departure, I'd like to get someone like Stevens.

Even if that is the case, if you can make a three, that's good enough for me. That's pretty much the motto the league lives by now, so I'm surprised he was as cheap as he is.

I am positive Schlenk was hired knowing the tank was coming. He probably sold Ressler on The warriors becoming 5 times more valuable during his time there because they drafted stars.

Yes because he is an NBA center, and getting a young one who can shoot for $5 million a year is a steal. I assumed the going rate for any stretch 5 would be at least $10 million per year.

Only 3 million a year. I mean I'm not exactly happy with that but it's not like it's crippling. They couldn't trade him and we did the guy a solid. Also we probably need the money we save to fill out the roster.

Thats the worst roster in the NBA. At least it's gonna be close to it. Dennis would have to be MVP good to take this team to the playoffs unless a big signing happens. Even in the awful east we are bottom of the barrel. And that's a good thing.

I think the real problem was When Bembry was the primary ball handler he was the one going to shoot it. He and Taurean shot 33 shots combined. I don't think Collins will be hurting for touches when Bud is in charge. He didn't look like an offense stopping black hole when he got it. He had some nice passes too.

In the first half he was definitely our best player. I think his leg bothered him in the second half.

Dennis and Sexton both have that dawg in them. However, Sexton actually being from Atlanta is easier to rally around.
