  1. Im 99% positive it's a simple tactic and they will be playing.
  2. I like Tmac, but it might be because his back started hurting each time his coach asked him to play defense.
  3. I hate to take away from what might have been a good movie, but the characters just didn't fit the mental picture I had of them after reading the books. Other than that, the best way to describe it is 'Intense'... And Dolfan, you are very correct with this one:
  4. Yes, big kudos to him. I love him as our commentator, and often watch random college games just because I'm passing by a channel and hear his voice.

    Ivan Johnson

Noone has mentioned that this guy looks like DeShawn Stevenson... (Or am I crazy?) That said, sign me up. I like what i've seen out of him, and what's the risk?!
  6. What you are not taking into account is that bringing a superstar into the fold can completely change the culture of a sports town. ESPECIALLY a town like Atlanta, where superstars are king (regardless of what team they play on). Casual sports fans in Atlanta want and need a superstar to embrace. It will have to be a perfect storm when it happens, but I'm positive that a superstar here would not only contribute to... but exemplify the success the Hawks have had over the last 4 years. The following is from a recent AJC article Read this and tell me Atlanta isnt a perfect situation for a star ready to become the face of the city... http://www.ajc.com/s...ta-1262996.html
  7. Gaining Craw could soften the blow of losing Roy. Might be a good fit for them...
  8. It's a great outlook to have, but 'what if's' don't generally pan out in basketball. Here's to hope though!
  9. Terms not disclosed. http://www.nba.com/hawks/news/radmanovic_pr_120911.html
  10. Idk, there's something to be said for a guy of his size who can knock down a shot. I like the idea of a multi-dimensional forward, especially if you have an elite PG who can apply the pick and pop. I don't want to get too extreme, but Dallas fans don't cringe when Dirk works on his outside jumper...
  11. I thought his back started hurting every time his coach asked him to play D?
  12. I LOL'd too. much needed humor after a bad day, thanks.
  13. It's not everyday you get a 2nd shot at something in the NBA...
  14. Probably no one... Once they're gone, you still have to pay them. Sound like a move we would make?I think not.
  15. I'm more excited than Rebecca Black on a Friday!
  16. Would that make the Hawks the biggest winners?
  17. I'll never forget this one: Duncan has a crazy game winning shot, but wait... there's still 0.4 sec on the clock...
  18. Don't know if anyone has seen this yet. "Kevin Durant has spent a considerable amount of time in South Florida this summer while working alongside Joe Johnson, who is a regular in the area. Durant has played in a host of exhibition games during the lockout." I know a video was posted not long ago, but it's good to know Joe is working out with an MVP candidate this off-season. Here's the link: http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/215810/Durant_Spending_Considerable_Time_Working_Out_In_South_Florida_With_Johnson
  19. I agree with bad draft picks, but for the sake of having just gone through what, 5 years of Woodson?... I had to pick bad coaching.
  20. I agree w/ AHF here... If we have an opportunity to dump JJ's contract I think any move is one we should consider. JJ's deal is now obviously a contract the ASG dealt out in order to make the product on the floor more appealing to potential buyers. They knew good and well they would only have to deal with the first year or two, so it wasn't a hard contract for them to ink.
  21. Nervous indeed, usually I'd be scared of that - but in this case, I feel like he is genuinely excited about owning a team and he has a ton of constraints because of the pending purchase AND lockout.
