  1. Why bother? Bud doesn't play talented rookies.
  2. Doesn't matter what position Baze plays. He can't shoot or finish at the rim consistently, and has bad defensive habits.
  3. Well it was nice to see Sap play with fire. For a whole minute. Our guards go to the rim as if they're being defended by JV girls.
  4. I knew Bazeless sucked and didn't deserve the contract and starting spot, but he isn't even playing at D-league level.
  5. I'd take Goodwin over Hunter and THJ.
  6. Maybe those who strictly read stats and have all the answers.
  7. We could have acquired him a year ago for nothing, so I doubt there's interest. I'm big on Harkless. He strongly improved his perimeter defense and shooting as he earned playing time in POR.
  8. ...except when it benefits their team.
  9. Who would be complaining about this "weak move" by KD if he signed with the Hawks?
  10. I don't blame Al for leaving. Too little too late for Budcox. Howard/Horford >>>>>Howard/Sap.
  11. No killer instinct. Pansies! Someone should have knocked IT's teeth out by now, or at least go at him at the end of regulation TEAGUE.
  12. I still like the underwhelming but efficienct blue-collar option of James Johnson. He can play the 3 or 4; he's currently buried on Toronto's bench.
  13. We don't necessarily need to acquire a full time starter, just someone who can step in and defend, rebound and stick to the system on offense (not Smoove or Swaggy P). I like Wes Johnson for the right price, but there's still other options. Danny Granger, James Johnson and Moe Harkless are all buried on their depth charts. K.J McDaniels is still available (RFA).
  14. Swaggy P = counterculture
  15. I like James Johnson from Toronto. He's rugged, good size, fairly athletic and played with Jeff at WF. He can play SF or PF if needed. I don't think it would take much to acquire him.
  16. I think THj is a solid pickup. He's not what I hoped for with 15th pick but the guy can play. We needed a young, athletic slasher/finisher with size capable of knocking down 3s (besides Baze). Now he's surrounded by mature, savvy vets. I think he'll be an asset and eventually get starter's minutes.
  17. The only mistake I see is a packed arena.
  18. Forget free agency, how are we going to get our current players to step on the court without cleaning house? My Hawks loyalty is borderline insanity at this point.
  19. I assume we are tanking, unless Bob Sura gets signed to a 10-day.
  20. At some point as a pro, you need to realize what is best for your team and stop trying to "prove the haters wrong" or focusing on making an All Star team. It hasn't registered in his elementary mind by now; it never will.I agree with the accountability part but I think the coaches are being told what to do and have their hands tied by ownership/management (see D. Wilkins aka #1 Smoove fan).
  21. Yup. He's not smart enough, or unselfish enough to box out, rebound, give the ball to a guard, run the floor, get in the paint, set a solid screen or crash the boards. The 3 pointer at the end WAS his fault, since he chose to spot up there instead of being in the paint where can and should DO WORK.
  22. Smith thinks it's his team, but Horford is the ROCK and real leader. Horford, Teague and Korver all lead much better than Josh ever will. Josh just doesn't get it. While he's launching perimeter junk shots, whining to the refs and attempting Magic-esque passes trying to "prove the haters wrong", the team players are taking care of business and picking up his slack.Cousins wouldn't need to be our leader right away. His combo of size and skill cannot be passed up, if available for Josh. Al and Cousins would be a nightmare for EVERY team in the league. If he ends up elsewhere in the East, he will destroy us for the next decade.
