in philly tonite (wearing my j_smoove jersey of course). it was even worse in person! hawks get NO respect from anyone. i shouldn't be suprised b/c this has happened to us too many times going back to last season. we had 'em. Al couldn't be stopped. read the postgame report on sixers.com. Mo Cheeks speaks of getting "breaks"- even he knows. our tenth loss by >10pts. the bad calls started early and never stopped. Havign the benefit of T.V. replays,in the last seconds

of the game {Less than one minute} :

Josh Smith goes up for a rebound.

He's pushed in the back. No call.

Josh Childress grabs the same rebound.

Attempts the putback. Hit on the arm.

No goal and no call.

Then, a few seconds later, JS commits his 6th foul.

He yanks off his headband and that's a tec. foul???

When Mike W. objects, he is called for a tec. and is

thrown out!!

NBA rules. You can't show emotion against A.I. and the

Sixers. A.I. is cat quick and a great player, one of

my favorite, but you musn't touch him or get close to

him when he drives or it's a foul.

A.I. gets a lot of fouls called. Some of them are real

and some of them you have to wonder about.

I know that we are the lowly Hawks, but you gotta wonder:

How is it that, and this has happened to us in three

games already this season, late, when the game is on

the line, the calls have all gone against Atlanta?

It's cost us the opportunity to win three games. Can't

be blamed on our inexperience. Questionable calls, no

calls and calls against us. When is it OUR turn to get

some of these go our way instead of against us?

If I heard correctly the first tech was given to Woody for staring at the ref. They don't call two calls on the same play that could have given us the lead and then we get techs for throwing a head band on the floor and staring at the ref.

Yep. I was in the chatroom at the time, and I told the people in there that if the game was close, the refs would decide the outcome. That's exactly what happened.
