The Season (Please Respond)

Menkee Bateer (i believe he is the only chinese player who actually has a good post game and not a 3 point shooter)

i think the EAST needs some stability. Look at the teams, basically only the Nets and the Hornets are really guaranteed to the playoffs.

boston - no point guard, chemistry?, their bench is weak too, but there is that Pierce guy, they will PROBABLY make it to the playoffs

detroit - can rip carrys the team? no i don't think so. are they better now? probably not. can they make the playoffs? they MAY, but i am not surprise if they don't.

philly - is keith van horn really such a big upgrade over matt harpring? no. can iverson get along with van horn? no. can iverson get along with brown? nevermind. can they make the playoffs? same as detroit, they MAY, but i am not surprise if they don't.

bucks - losing some of the key free agents hurt, but nothing close to losing glenn robinson. its ray's team, but he is still surrounded by shooters, this team has only 1 dimensional. they are not as talented as they were last year. Once again, they may make the playoffs, but i am not surprise if they don't.

magic - the key words is grant hill and healthy. IF hill is healthy, kemp does what he is expected, then the magic is one of the best team in the east, but thats a big IF and we will find out shortly.

raptors - vince coming back, they have no center, and they will probably move davis back to the center sport and put jyd on the starting lineup. but then this team will be way undersize but very energetic. the bench is weak. they MAY sneak in to the playoffs, but probably NOT.

washington - IF larry huges can play like ron harper at the point guard, IF kwame brown plays like hoarce grant or dennis rodman, IF White or Haywood plays at least better than Luc Longley, IF MJ plays at least 70 games and produce something like last year, THEN they will be around 80% of the championship bulls which is sufficent to make the playoffs with a low seed. but thats a lot of IFs, even though most of those IFs are easily achieveable, but we will have to see. they have a very young but talented bench. they are going to be much more interesting to watch then last year. They will PROBABLY make the playoffs.

indy - such a talented them, but they are always too young to do anything. someone needs to step up, reggie can't be around to take the clutch shots forever. isiah thomas, this is your last chance to make some noise, making to the playoffs alone won't save you the job for next year. They will PROBABLY make the playoffs.

Here is the east should look

NJ,NO guaranteed playoffs

Boston, Washington, Magic, Indy, and Hawks are probably going to the playoffs

Raptors, Pistons, Bucks and Philly may have a chance

These teams can go in any order in the playoffs.

The reason they play games in the west is because

they are about twice as entertaining as EC 66-65

games and teams like the heat and bulls that can't

even average 90PPG.

Obviously you've never watched a Denver game? How about a Memphis game? Sheeez, even those Sonic and Spurs games get a little dull. There's not that much Entertainment in the West?

Average Laker game what happens. Throw the ball into Shaq. Shaq drops the big Shoulder, bowls over the defender and scores. If not that then Kobe brings the ball down. Kobe dips and dos and nobody else on offense ever gets the rock.

Average Spur game what happens. Duncan gets the ball and either scores or passes out to the open man.

However, if you like entertainment...

The Celtics.

The Magic.

The Hawks.

The Nets.

The Wizards.

The 76ers.

I will give you the Knicks, Heat, and Pistons.. Those are three Boring teams. BUT the Bulls are fun to watch. You ever watch them. Had you not watched the Bulls, you wouldn't been entertained by the Shaqfu vs. Brad Miller exhibition. That alone was funny as hell.

Do you really think people are going to watch

JT/Shareef/Big Dog more than Kobe Bryant and

Kevin Garnett?

The west has the top 5 best teams in the league

AND the Clippers.

"Average Spur game what happens. Duncan gets the ball and either scores or passes out to the open man. "

Yeah he does have great passing ability for a PF and

other than Walker every other PF in the east could

use some teaching in this area.

Nobody is going to care to watch any of the east

teams other than fans of that team besides AI.

No we were not a entertaining team to watch before

and we probably will not be now either in other fans

eyes.

People would rather watch Shaq than watch Walker

throwing up 3pt shots and the low scoring games

teams provide.

The Spurs or the Celtics?

The Kings or The Nets?

The Wizards or the Mavericks?

The Hawks or the Timberwolves?

I know how some fans might get caught up in player popularity.. and you may think that all the favorite players are in the West...

However, While he played, THE WIZARDS were the most sought after ticket in the game. MJ was the only ticket that sold out the Phil Early. That includes KG and the Wolves, Smitty and the Spurs, even Shaq-Kobe.

My question again, who would you rather watch?

or would you rather go by what players are the most popular?

MJ.... MOST Popular.

AI.... Must be something, his items sell the most.

Pierce/Walker... I believe that they are a bigger draw than Webber/Peja

Vinny Carter.... Had you forgotten the Votes Leader for the Allstar game?

Tmac/Hill. I guarantee a Phil Sellout when these two come to town.

Jason Kidd. Let's see what happens for the opener?

I don't think you want to talk player popularity because after Kobe/Shaq, KG, and Webber... what is there in the West???

Spurs

Kings

Mavs

Hawks

"However, While he played, THE WIZARDS were

You think those fans gave a damn about anything

other than MJ?MJ is gunna sellout just because of

who he is.

"Pierce/Walker... I believe that they are a bigger draw than Webber/Peja "

Is that why Mavs/Kings was the highest rated playoff

series and the east drew maybe half the ratings?

"what is there in the West???"

The young and exciting Clippers and the Dallas

Mavericks which are teams fans want to watch. There

is also Gary Payton...Steve Francis(fans voted him

as the starter over GP)

"Tmac/Hill. I guarantee a Phil Sellout when these two come to town."

Considering the kinda fans Atlanta has I wouldn;t

say this means a whole lot.

Surely you really aren't dumb enough to believe

people watch the east over the west.People also

want to watch the west cause they have atleast

6 teams that are better than the Nets.
