All Previews have the Hawks not making Playoffs???

Maybe it is me, but why is everyone except most of us here think the Atlanta Hawks should be in the mix to make the playoffs??

Some of these previews have us 12 or 13 in the east. I think that is flat out wrong. This team is going to surprise some people.

Also, my only concern with Atlanta is the 1 and 2 guard. We really don't have a true point guard. Jason can play point but he is really a 2 guard in a 1 guard body. Newble is good defensively but he is not the scorer you want at the 2 guard. Dion can score but he isn't good defensively and he is not a true outside threat. Shooting Guard is our main weakness in my eyes. That was so evident in the Miami game I saw in Pre-season. Everything else seem to be good except the 2 guard.

My thoughts are that you don't have a clue what you

are talking about.

Why do we need 5 scorers on the court starting?That

Poor Newble -- You're right, he can't score. Tonight,

he shot 4/7 frrom the field and 2/2 from the line for

10 points. This was in 30 minutes of play.

The last time, he had 10 points in the 1st quarter. Guess

he must be slipping. He does play very good defense and

I guess we'll have to put up with his poor scoring.

We all know about Jason Terry not being able to play the

point guard position. We read it on the espn report and

by the dude that does the daily "Insider" report. Only

trouble is, they haven't convinced Lon or any of the fans

here on Hawksquawk. We all must be dumb or something

because he keeps trying to play P.G. and the Hawks

keep on winning with him there.

Someone thinks a "True" P.G. has the ability to bring

the ball across midcourt and pass the ball off. That is

all he does. Guess J.T. just doesn't do things that way,

so you have to wonder, don't you?
