You'd think they would have come up with something more interesting than a coin flip by now. Maybe BK and Bickerstaff playing poker on cable TV for the spot...or a rock, paper, scissors series...

It isn't literally a coin flip anymore. They hold a drawing now. Still not anything TV worthy.

Doesn't matter who won the season series. They will flip a coin.

They don't flip a coin, they add the number of ping pong balls the 3rd and 4th place teams get and divide them evenly between the two teams.

They still do a separate draw (used to be a coin flip - now a draw), though, outside of just dividing the balls and doing the draft lottery. If there an odd number of balls one team gets the odd ball and one team gets the better default position if neither team ends up with a top 3 pick.

Man that makes no sense to have a coin flip.

Season series makes much more sense to me.

They do the "flip" anyway. We lost on that a couple of years ago when the Clippers won against us and got to draft Shaun Livingston and we got Chills.

actually, clips got SECOND PICK and got to get okafor/howard but they traded down to 4 with charlotte...

if we had won that 'flip' we would have howard right now, as we coulda easily enticed orlando with jt or something else since they were on the fence between howard/okafor

we'd have a smoove/howard frontline right now...if only we'd just won that 'flip'....
