DrReality
If we fall to the number seven spot and get worst case in the lottery, there may be some picks there that are valued that may not be worthy of a higher pick. Here are the later picks from three mocks: 5 Roy-----------Gay---------------Aldridge 6. Gay-----------Foye--------------Brewer 7. Splitter------ Roy---------------Foye 8. S Williams----M. Williams-------Roy 9. M Williams----Carney------------Carney 10. Collins-------S. Williams-------O'Bryan In all three cases there are valued players that would help our team. If this were the case, it would prevent us from picking a players too high that does warrant such a pick. Thus less would be more.
warcore
if we drafted marcus williams, would him and Marvin have their full names spelled out on the back of their jerseys? that would be funny...and then get annoying
Lascar78
Good Question. They would at least have to go to Marv. Williams and Marc. Williams at which point you might as well put the whole name. That would indeed be hilarious ... and then get old. The good thing is that marvin williams is still less letters than Andriuskevicius, so at least it will fit... DrReality
What if we traded down and got two picks and drafted Marcus and Sheldon. Marvin Williams Marcus Williams Sheldon Williams The Willian gang.
warcore
and then we could start calling billy knight william knight.
Nicholasp27
i'd be happy with a marcus/shelden draft i'd run a williams/josh/williams/josh/williams lineup from time to time during games...
CBAreject
Don't forget the Williams/Smith/Williams/Smith/Williams possibility.
DrReality
Don't guess the original question or point got much consideration? ie would we be better off drawing a lower lotery pick (if we don't get one of the top 3-4) to draft one of the players that is getting so much discussion here. Personally . . . . . I think we will get a top three!
Lascar78
I don't think it's true at all. BK has shown that he's not afraid to reach down for a guy he believe is (ie Childress). Therefore, there is nothing to gain by drafting lower, it only lowers the number of options we have.
