Premium Member Diesel Posted November 19, 2002 Premium Member Report Share Posted November 19, 2002 The Minnesota Wrecking crew... The Glove and Hendu gets to actually play Minn and earn their name. Neither Hendu or Glover or from Minn. but the name is so fitting for them. They are blue collar guys off the bench that come in and cause damage. It would be nice to see these averages. Hendu 10 points, 7 rebs, 23 minutes. Glover 12 points, 4 rebs, 4 assists 23 minutes. And once we get Nazr back into the swing of things... Watch out. Against Minn, I worry about our frontline. We're kinda light in the a** on the front line. Theo vs. Nestor. SAR vs. KG, and Big Dog vs. Wally World. This is a time for JT and Big Dog to shine. If they shine and the Minn wrecking crew comes in and wrecks stuff, I think we can win. Minn will come with their good execution so it makes for a good game. Guest
SAR will not be able to push KG around in the manner he did Antonio Davis.Shareef could have went for 50 last night. The Raps last night were really soft. They reminded me of the Hawks of the last few years...The team has shown alot fo toughness againest the Hornets and were prepared for a knockdown dragout last night. Premium Member Diesel Posted November 19, 2002 Author Premium Member Report Share Posted November 19, 2002 Nobody pushes around KG... Not even Shaq. KG is just a manchild. However, what Shareef can't do is rely on the long jumper. He needs to be agressive and cause KG to foul.
Guest
Kg even shut Tmac down.Amazing he can guard Pg's/SG's/SF's/PF's/C's and shut a player down at any position. I have a feeling that Shareef will think he has no advange inside and will shoot alot of jumpers. The pick n roll wil likely not be effective. Admin chillzatl Posted November 19, 2002 Admin Report Share Posted November 19, 2002 Should be a good game. But there is no reason we shouldn't win it. Just because they have a "superstar" in KG doesn't mean they are better than us. Newble will shut wally down. They have nobody to cover both JT and Grob and our bench is better. It will probably be a tough night for Reef. But he's played KG plenty of times before, he knows what to expect. He won't make it easy for KG either though. Gray Mule
Add the name of Amal McCaskill to "The Minnesota Wrecking Crew." These dudes are big and tough, right? Hawks need someone who is big and tough to go up against them, do we not? We have such a player available. This could very well be the game for him to step foreward and shine because he appears to be one who will not be easily run over or be pushed away. In fact, our second unit might match up against these guys very well. Glover & E-Mail McCaskill Hendu & Ham There might not be a lot of scoring from this group but there won't be a lot of running over them either. When we had won only 2 games this time last season, our second unit this year would have probably been an improvement. My, my, how times have changed!! And this five have CC & DD to back them up! With all this and we haven't even mentioned our starting five - - Things are looking up in Hawkland.
Blunt91
It's ironic you should make that statement Hotlanta "KG even shut down T-mac". I saw Mcgrady on one of the sports shows and they asked what player gives him the most trouble to score on and he said Kevin Garnett.
Guest
KG does things that you don't see in the stat sheet. If Shareef gets 25 on him I will be impressed. Which show? Tmac has been awesome and he has been rather unstopable. He had 41 YET AGAIN tonight againest the Sonics.
Blunt91
I am thinking this was on Inside the NBA last week or it could have been ESPN.Maybe if we had of played them already during the regular season he would have given Ira Newble honorble mention, I doubt it though because we don't get any respect.
