Johnnybravo4
0 pts, 0 ast, 1 reb in 17 minutes. Why does Woodson continue this farce of starting this scrub? He can't shoot, he cant run the offense, he doesn't break down the defense, he does practically nothing. He is worse than Royal Ivey. Ivey could at least hit wide open jumpers occasionally. Bozeman can't shoot, he knows it, and the opposing team knows it, so we play 4 on 5 on offense. Someone should tell Woody to either start Lue, or start Salim until Speedy finally gets healthy. I don't care if you have to play Salim at the 2 and play JJ at point for a couple of games. It could be worse than what we are doing now.
gsuteke
they lost the game because they shot 35% from the field. how is starting Salim a positive?
Johnnybravo4
And Bozo was 0-4. The reason the offense runs better when Lue is in the game is because teams have to respect his offensive ability and thus can't double and triple team JJ in the post. When Bozeman or even Speedy is in the game they don't have to fear their shot, therefore JJ has to work harder and the offense stalls. The common thread of all of our recent losses have been bad starts stemming from the stalling of our offensive effectiveness. We end up being down 15-5,we bring in Lue for the rest of the half, whose heroics bring us back into the game. We need to nip it in the bud in the beginning of the game. Either start Lue or start Salim so that our offense can get going early, triggering our defensive effectiveness.
Premium Member hawkman Posted November 26, 2006 Premium Member Report Share Posted November 26, 2006 Maybe it's time management takes the PG position seriously. It's obvious that this team really needs one. Speedy was a good attempt to fix the problem, but it has not worked out so far. Ideally, Speedy would be healthy and this team would be rolling right now, but that has not happened. It's obvious that Speedy needs some time to recover. In the meantime, we need to look for another PG. Without one, the hawks will go from a possible playoff team to another sub 40 win season.

Bravo you are proposing a 6 of one, 1/2 dozen of another scenario. neither are a longterm solution.
Johnnybravo4
We just spent 25 million bucks on our long term solution...I am suggesting something to get us through the the next couple of weeks. Bozo should be playing for the Lowgators and not the Hawks.
