Premium Member Diesel Posted January 22, 2003 Premium Member Report Share Posted January 22, 2003 OK I have 3 trades... But only two possible at one time. JT/Nazr to Chicago for Chandler/Fizer. I call that one Even. JT is a great gaurd. Nazr is a Krause favorite and Sam Smith said Krause would like JT as well. We get up and coming Chandler. Follow that with Theo for Smitty/Willis/1st. Our new squad: Dickau/Wilks Smitty/Glover/Benjamin Big Dog/Ham SAR/Fizer/Hendu Chandler/Willis My other thought was Nazr for Williams/Williams. Nazr would be a good fit in Boston. This also would be a prelude to a JT trade. Maybe JT/CC to Chicago Fizer/Crawford/Filler to Atlanta. Atlanta trades: C Nazr Mohammed (4.7 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 0.1 apg in 12.4 minutes) PG Jason Terry (17.6 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 7.1 apg in 37.9 minutes) Atlanta receives: PF Marcus Fizer (11.4 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 1.2 apg in 21.2 minutes) C Tyson Chandler (7.8 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 0.9 apg in 20.4 minutes) Change in team outlook: -3.1 ppg, +4.6 rpg, and -5.1 apg. Chicago trades: PF Marcus Fizer (11.4 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 1.2 apg in 21.2 minutes) C Tyson Chandler (7.8 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 0.9 apg in 20.4 minutes) Chicago receives: C Nazr Mohammed (4.7 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 0.1 apg in 18 games) PG Jason Terry (17.6 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 7.1 apg in 41 games) Change in team outlook: +3.1 ppg, -4.6 rpg, and +5.1 apg. TRADE ACCEPTED Atlanta trades: C Theo Ratliff (7.8 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 0.7 apg in 29.6 minutes) Atlanta receives: SG Steve Smith (8.0 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 1.6 apg in 23.4 minutes) C Kevin Willis (4.8 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 0.4 apg in 11.0 minutes) Change in team outlook: +5.0 ppg, -2.0 rpg, and +1.3 apg. San Antonio trades: SG Steve Smith (8.0 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 1.6 apg in 23.4 minutes) C Kevin Willis (4.8 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 0.4 apg in 11.0 minutes) San Antonio receives: C Theo Ratliff (7.8 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 0.7 apg in 40 games) Change in team outlook: -5.0 ppg, +2.0 rpg, and -1.3 apg. TRADE ACCEPTED Atlanta trades: C Nazr Mohammed (4.7 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 0.1 apg in 12.4 minutes) SF Dion Glover (6.5 ppg, 2.2 rpg, 1.1 apg in 16.1 minutes) Atlanta receives: SF Eric Williams (8.7 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 1.6 apg in 29.0 minutes) PG Shammond Williams (7.9 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 2.8 apg in 24.9 minutes) Change in team outlook: +5.4 ppg, +1.7 rpg, and +3.2 apg. BlackHawkDown
Diesel I just dont like Fizer. He is sorta of a poor man's Barkley - Talent. I dont understand what you see in him and Jamaal Crawford. They just seem like scrubs. But that is just one opinion. I do like chandler though, but we could probably get him without giving up JT. beav
Fizer has never really panned out... there is nothing in our current atmosphere to get him motivated to do more... he seems to be a bit of a tweener
jerrywest
This is not an original idea. GRob won't get us anything. So forget about it. Ditto w/ Theo. We need a deal that will make JT what he can be. Or we won't know his true value. We need front court muscles and SR won't give that to us. So here it goes(again): Shareef for Crowford/ERob/Fizer. ERob makes DJ expandable. They are not giving us Chandler for so little.
Premium Member Diesel Posted January 23, 2003 Author Premium Member Report Share Posted January 23, 2003 If I were a chicago fan, that would be perfect... But let's look closer. Fizer = First rounder that never panned out (should have taken Miller). Crawford = First rounder that really didn't pan out. Erob = MCE Player that didn't live up to his salary. People talk about how good a PG Crawford is... However, he has never shown it. He's JT only taller and with less ability. PLUS, he has had trouble with every coach he ever had. Krause wants him gone because to Krause, he is a cancer. Fizer has been showcased and does well but he still is undersized for a Pf and too slow to be a Sf. If we trade JT or SAR... Our compensation should be Chandler. That's the bargaining point.
TheDude
we can't trade a sg to get a pg and pf...we should try to trade grob for the pg and pf..you can't say grob is untradeable..krause would love another sf scorer to go with rose and chandler... Premium Member Diesel Posted January 23, 2003 Author Premium Member Report Share Posted January 23, 2003 I think Grob is tradable... But we'd only get back [censored]. I mean... Grob for Hill? Grob for DC. Grob for Vin Baker.. You know, trades that don't help us at all??
Guest
I'd do GRob for hill, anytime. Honestly, I think he'll come back eventually from his injury, maybe not to previous levels, but to playable ones. And if not, well insurance would kick in and take care of actually paying his salary... this team would learn to scrape and fight again, working agianst adversity, rather than just floating along right now.
