Got a reply from Pete on an e-mail I sent asking when a 3rd assistant coach would be hired.

Pete replied saying that no additional staff would be added, and that Dominique is working very closely with the players to see if coaching is something he wants to do.

I wonder if all of the critics who are demanding 'Nique be our head coach are aware that he doesn't even know if he wants to be a coach at all.

Pete's response does seem to help explain why he doesn't even travel with the team.

Extra coach can't cost that much. Either 'Nique is a coach

or he isn't a coach. If he is a coach, good. Get on with

being a coach for the remainder of the season.

Half way is being half a---- about it. It's like being

pregnent. Either you are or you ain't. Can't have it

both ways. But, I guess you can if you're 'Nique.

I really don't understand this. Even if 'nique only wants to help during practices and help some during home games, that's no reason to continue the season with a limited # of assistant coaches.

Most teams in the NBA carry 4 assistant coaches. Terry Stotts has stated on more than one occasion that he is used to being on a full staff.

So why must the Hawks continue working with a shorthanded coaching staff? I guess it figures. The Hawks work with a short handed scouting staff for the most part, as I think they still have the smallest scouting staff in the NBA.

there and win some games.

Hawks are being way to cheap in exactly the wrong place,

in my opinion.
