quick thought: Trade SAR+JT+GROB for GARNETT!

would you do it? In your opinion, is Garnett worth our big 3?

heres the math-

Garnett + scrubs = playoffs in the WEST

Garnett + scrubs = playoffs in the EAST

Besides, we have Ratliff. Garnett and Ratliff would TEAR IT UP in the EAST.

Glover could be last-years Chauncey Billups and we just need a Wally S type player and we got the T-wolves of the east

I wouldn't do it.

KG is 21/12/6.

Reef is about 20/7/3.

When you think about it, Reef is close and he's 9 million dollars less. If you stack 2 more 15+ ppgs for the same KG, we get screwed Big time. Popularity wise, KG could put some butts in the seats.... But from just a common sense perspective, you don't trade three allstar types for one superstar.

I would do SAR/Grob/CC for Garnett which works cap wise but I wouldn't include JT. Maybe....

Reef/JT/Hendu/CC/Email for Garnett/Gill works

Wilks???/DD

Gill/Glover

Grob/Newble

KG/Ham

Theo/Nazr

That probably wouldn't work unless.... we worked out another deal using Nazr or Theo like the Portland one mentioned earlier...

Theo/DG for Davis/McInnis works salary wise

McInnis/DD

Gill/Benjamin

Grob/Newble

KG/Ham

Davis/Nazr

We would all of a sudden become a veteran team... I guess those aren't very solid ideas... We'd have an awful bench although it isn't all that great at the moment. Instead of trading Theo, we could move Nazr.

Nazr for Declerq/Humphrey/1st??

Probably not...

If the deal was offered, I'd take it. You don't get many chances to get a true superstar in the NBA. Kevin Garnett is arguably the best player in the NBA. He impacts the game in so many different ways. Offensively, he's an all around threat. He can beat you on the perimeter and in the post. He's a player that makes the players around him better. Defensively, he's one of the 5 best defensive players in the NBA.

Reef is an above average player, but he doesn't impact the game like Garnett does.

Why hasn't his team ever did any better than 1st round? He has had probably one of the best coaches in the game. However, they don't fair so well.

I will say this.... KG is probably Theo's best possible match at PF....Next to Duncan. But still, there's no such thing as a one man team contending. Dallas and Sacramento and NJ are showing that Team Play wins in today's NBA.

Those numbers don't show KG's desire vs. SAR's desire.

SAR has very little of that.Reef isn't even close to KG.

You can't teach size,Reef doesn't have it....

Diesel understands very little about players impact on

a team.Reef can't touch KG.It's about proforming on

a high level and Reef doesn't do it.

I wished you would mention things like this on other

boards so people would get a good laugh.

That desire means NOTHING if there's no other players around who can help.

Again Hotlantadude... Explain to me how KG's desire has propelled his team out of the first round of the playoffs? IN ANY YR...

I mean, he had Marbury and Googs (playing well) and his desire still couldn't get it done.

Even now... Wally and Billups are not jokes...

However at the end of the day... Where will KG's desire take him??

Probably over to SAR's house to watch the 2nd round of the playoffs.

What has Dallas won? They haven't even cracked the finals

and neither has Sactown.

And you think SAR plays like a team?OR JT?OR Robinson?

No they either force shots or totally dissappear.

But yet you claim Tmac is so great just because they don't

have much otherr talent.

Explain to me when Reef's team have ever sniffed the

playoffs?

"I mean, he had Marbury and Googs (playing well) and his desire still couldn't get it done.

Didn't they lose to Seattle twice?Seattle was simply

better and much more experienced.Googs was like

Leattner a overrated player.

"Probably over to SAR's house to watch the 2nd round of the playoffs."

It's futher than Reef/JT/Robinson have gotten.No wait!

Puppy Dogs team made the 3rd round in the weak and

talent lacking east.

EX

Kobe

Shaq

Duncan

KG

Are argueably the NBA's 4 best players...They all

play in the west.Payton can be considered the best

PG and guess what...he plays in the west....Memphis

and Golden State have alot of young talent the east

lacks.

If we did this trade we would be out of the first round.

IF Minnesota was in the east they would be in the finals.

SAR/JT/Puppy Dog ain't ever gunna even make the first

round less they are sent to a already playoff team.

SAR plays at a mediocre level as do the rest of the hawk

players.They don't play a high level.There biggest achieve

ment is beating a bunch of struggling teams like Orlando/

Philly and Cleveland twice.None of those are good teams.

They got lucky and beat Sactown. What about the blow

out losses to Miami? The blowout losses to New Jersey?

KG has more desire than SAR/JT/Robinson alltogether.KG

wants to win and these guys don't want it bad enough.

What's so great about Reef's 20/7 anyway?

Eddie Jones averages 19/5/4

Mash averages 21/5/4

Ricky Davis averages over 20PPG

KG is a top 5 player and none of the Hawks are a

top 25 player in the league.

KG is not worth it. You can have all the problems you want with SAR. The point is that NO ONE MAN TEAM will contend. That's what you have with KG... A one man team.

First of all, he makes too much.

Secondly, you propose trading all of our other scorers for him.

Third you are such a hypocrite.

Just the other day, you were saying how Hendu, DD, Glover are not everday players. HELLO.. Who do you think will play beside KG?

Get a clue HLD...

WHat you propose is 2 yrs of nothing and then he leaves to play for NY...

JT and Puppy Dog are expendable. The bring more

bad than good.It took me a while to realize this

about JT....but he's expendable.Most guards can

chunk up shots and average 17PPG.No big deal.

You continue to not realize this is the second

worst team in the EC.The only team worse than

the Hawks is Cleveland. So much for your valuable

scorers right?

"Just the other day, you were saying how Hendu, DD, Glover are not everday players. HELLO.. Who do you think will play beside KG?"

It really doesn't matter.KG along with those guys are

good enough to go further than the current team.
