Portland gets hosed - they wouldn't do this. They also won't give up Jack without being able to get a PG in return (the Conley deal). I like what you're trying to land for the Hawks though, without even giving up the #3. Maybe a permutation of this would work.

You traded them 5 backup players for 2 starters. Shelden might have starter quality, but your deal leaves him behind Aldridge and Oden, so he's on the bench.

Yeah, and they would all struggle just to make the team in Portland. There is no room there. Shelden would never see the floor. Portland also has four second round picks to pick up some similar players.
