Guest
Default Vote to Ben Wallace...IMO it was Artest's until he became more of a sideshow than a respected player, [censored] shame.
Admin
Not sure on this one. Christie and Iverson have been very good, so has Theo and Wallace. I am going to vote for Theo though. 2nd in the league in blocks after not having played for 2 years and has almost no other defensive talent on the team. Without him there is no telling how bad we would be.
Guest
But we're still a bad defensive team. Theo's been playing fantastic since Jan. 1, getting the rust off and his confidence back. I thought last night was particularly indicative of that - people argue whether or not his last block was a foul...but the refs didn't call it. Anyone remember how Theo complained daily that he was getting gipped by the refs, not getting any calls and getting tons against him, thus leading to his habitual foul trouble...well that's over now and he's playing exactly as he did when he would have won the DPY in Philly before getting hurt... Simply put though, Wallace has the league behind him, he's who people talk about and fear...he grabs more boards as well. Theo gets absolutely NO PRESS for leading the league in blocks...there's no way he'll win, we're a bad defensive team, thus he gets no respect... Question - who was the last person to win an award, any of them, and not have their team in the playoffs...
