The players definitely support him, and he's getting praise from one of the best GM's in the biz, Donnie Walsh. I think this a move the Hawks should make, regardless if Pete is kept or if Billy Knight replaces him. If it happens though, the team is going to have to be changed to fit his style. The team has to become an up and down the floor defensive team that pressures the ball and traps defensively.

IMO, the one player that Stotts doesn't want the Hawks to trade is Theo Ratliff because of his defense and ability to get up and down the floor. Ratliff is a guy who you can move around defensively. He can guard opposing perimeter players if needed, because he is so athletic and has such great reaction time. Obviously, he's the best help defender on the team as well. The only thing he lacks defensively is the ability to bang with a bigger center when they try to back him down, but there aren't many centers in the league that have a definitive size advantage on him.
