jaywalker72
Stan Kasten has stated that he wants a GM who can not only do all the right things for the franchise on the court, but off the court as well. He wants a face for the organization, one who can sell the Hawks product and start to galvanize the city. While I would have been honored to take the job, I offer another selection, one which has already begun to echo through the streets of this slumbering NBA city: Doc. http://hawks.realgm.com/showarticle.php?artid=
KB21
http://www.accessatlanta.com/ajc/sports/co...oore/index.html I don't agree with Terrence Moore on a lot of things, but this is one that I do agree with him. I really think Doc would jump at the chance to join the Hawks, and he wouldn't do the organization wrong. BRING BACK DOC!!!
Guest
Would you guys hire Darryl Dawkins as a assisant coach?
KB21
That's kind of an "off the hip" question. I don't know if I would. I'd have to research what he's done and his experience.
cyman3
"Babcock was among those with the Hawks who refused to hire Rivers. So, he became a successful NBA television analyst, and then he agreed to coach the Orlando Magic." - did he have something against Rivers?
hawkster411
Jay, I would love to have Doc as GM. I'm not sold on him being both GM and coach, but GM for sure. If Doc took over the Hawks as GM, I envision a bright future for the Hawks. Hey, I miss him as a player, but it would be a great "welcome back" if he became the Hawk's GM. That would be great. BumP! KB21
There has been a general sense that Pete has resisted bringing back ex-Hawks because he feared they would take his job.
