Paging Mr. Rivers, Mr. Doc Rivers

Stan Kasten has stated that he wants a GM who can not only do all the right things for the franchise on the court, but off the court as well.

He wants a face for the organization, one who can sell the Hawks product and start to galvanize the city.

While I would have been honored to take the job, I offer another selection, one which has already begun to echo through the streets of this slumbering NBA city:

I don't agree with Terrence Moore on a lot of things, but this is one that I do agree with him.

I really think Doc would jump at the chance to join the Hawks, and he wouldn't do the organization wrong.

That's kind of an "off the hip" question. I don't know if I would. I'd have to research what he's done and his experience.

I would love to have Doc as GM. I'm not sold on him being both GM and coach, but GM for sure.

If Doc took over the Hawks as GM, I envision a bright future for the Hawks. Hey, I miss him as a player, but it would be a great "welcome back" if he became the Hawk's GM. That would be great.
