so much for that PS3 price cut

In yet another great PR move by Sony, last weeks $100 price cut for the 60gb version of the PS3 was just announced to be temporary as they are dropping the 60gb model in favor of an 80gb model at the end of july. So it really isn't a price cut, just an inventory sell off. Sony rocks!

im about to buy my friends ps3, along with 3 games, hd cable, and an extra controller....for $550

is that a good deal?

Would I call it a good deal? not really, but that's because the PS3 does nothing for me. It doesn't really have any games coming out that I would want and can't get for the 360 instead and at a much lower price. If you're in the market for a ps3, then I guess it would be a good deal though.
