Blunt91
It's clear that joe's calf is still bothering him, so why keep playing the hell out of him when he isn't even making many shots?
NJHAWK
He should have just shot that 3 instead of giving it to AC Law. Law choked.
Premium Member Atlantaholic Posted January 31, 2008 Premium Member Report Share Posted January 31, 2008 I don't know what is wrong with Joe... but if he is hurt he needs to sit. If he isn't hurt and is playing the way he is playing than it should be a huge warning sign that we should look to trade him before he pulls a Vince Carter on us and his value drops dramatically. Blunt91
Law doesn't have confidence in his jumpshot, that's why he tried to lay it up and got blocked.
cyman3
honestly, Joe Johnson needs a break. I rather have Joe sit a game or two and be ready to go at 100% then have him half-ass all the ball games here on out. When our team is playing w/ 0 energy, shouldnt MARIO WEST get some playing time? hussamga
Sit Joe since hes obviously overplayed, i'd do it leading up to all star game so he has a good 10days to heal. Looks like sit him against Houston (FEB9) bring him back Feb 19th against the Lakers. Run Acie at the 2, encourage him to find his shot. He would be going up against Head/Alston combo in Hou, RIP/Chauncey, and McInnis/Felton in those 3 games. He wont be overmatched size wise.
