Smith asked Nique about whether the Hawks planned on resigning Josh Smith. He chuckled as he said YES! It seemed as though there was no question in Nique's mind that Josh Smith will remain a Hawk.

Since the now departed (fired not dead) Bernie Mullins told us all a few months before the season that Speedy was "100% Healthy and ready to go", I've pretty much given up on anything I hear from the Hawks organization that's put out for public consumption.

No. Nothing about trades. He said that it was important to finish strong heading into the all-star game because they have a tough road trip to start the second half of the season.

Really, Smith didn't want to talk too much Hawks. He asked Nique about this years' slam dunk contest which lead to the '88 contest. Then he had Nique pick who would be in the finals and who would win it. He picked the Hawks then Smith made him pick somebody else so he went Pistons vs. Spurs with the Pistons taking home the hardware.
