Hawksman
I like your thinking! If Ebi is there at #37, we better get him or Kerdrick Perkins. We need to try a high schooler. I agree with you on the Diaw vote!
Admin capstone21 Posted June 24, 2003 Admin Report Share Posted June 24, 2003 No, English is the better selection and if we get him at 37 he will turn into a steal for us.

Premium Member Diesel Posted June 25, 2003 Premium Member Report Share Posted June 25, 2003 I don't see Hayes to NY, unless Spreewell is traded to Milwaukee for Cassell/Mason? I know people say that Cook's stock has risen, but I think Thurs, his stock falls and he goes late first. At Pick 37, I would prefer Dahntay Jones. I'm not a duke fan, but I like him and liken him to Christie.
KB21
I agree. Jones is a terrific athlete, but he's a below average shooter and mediocre ball handler. It will be defense that gets him into and keeps him in the league. He's also strictly a shooting guard, though he does have to improve his perimeter shooting. English is a guy is can hold his own athletically, but he can give you minutes as a point guard as well as a shooting guard. He's a terrific ball handler with good court vision and perimeter shooting ability. He will give the Hawks some options as they could go with him as a big point guard during some stretches, allowing JT to play the two, as well as going with a very good shooting back court of Enlgish and Dickau. He brings that quality that Billy Knight was stressing during the press conference yesterday: Versatility.
