Brotha2ThaNite
Now that is a BIG. I like this guy. Why does he not get more playing team? He could MOS DEF help us in the middle.

He is playing behind Dampier in Dallas. If Dallas does pull off the Kidd deal it will be interesting to see how Diop plays in NJ. He will be a ufa this summer. mattlanta
I really like Diop, and I think he is a tremendous defender. However, if we were to get a big man, I think we would more so get a low-post scoring center or power forward because that is our biggest need besides a veteran point guard IMO. DJlaysitup
Agreed L21...I would like to see a center with at least some ability to score to go along with Horford and Smoove on the front line. Obviously we can't likely get both a quality scorer AND defender for the center position - those guys are few and far between - maybe something in between. If we were to get Diop we would need a creator-type PG to at least feed the guy for the occasional ally-oop or dunk.
DrReality
Diop playing along side Al would be dangerous. Those guys could kick ass and take names.
Nicholasp27
a 3-man rotation of smoove/horford/diop at pf/c would be nice however, post scoring would still be a need, unless 1+ of those 3 improves their post scoring enough to become a legit option down there

Their post scoring will improve. Smith was able to put some good post moves on R. Wallce a couple of nights ago and Wallance has a rep as being a good post defender. (He normally gives Duncan problems.) The Hawks can be like the Pistons one day and basically have 3 or 4 post options depending on who is hot. You will see the Pistons feed Wallace one quarter, then Prince gets rolling in aother quarter, and then McDeysse or Maxielle get rolling. The same thing can develope with Horford, Smith, JJ, an even Marvin should develope some post game as Prince has done as a SF.
