MoonKnight
the Grizz were the only team to express an interest in him playing on their summer league team. I heard this statement on 790 the Zone this morning. I am abit surprised that we did not pursue him but maybe the new management will contact him once the sale is completed. If both Glover and DJ walk then we are thin in the backcourt with JT, DD, Diaw and Hansen.
cyman3
this summer. C'mon, his status as a NBA player is unknown- he wants as many chances as possible. He cant just sit down and wait for the hawks to MAYBE take a chance on him- thats too much gambling and hope into 1 team that doesnt even have a current management. IMO, DJ is playing w/ the GRIZZs cuz 1)its the only team that asked him 2)wants to get back into shape and basketball form 3)if hawks dont want him back after management completes, he has WEST to help bring up his stock. Once West tells the media how good DJ is, the other teams will keep an eye on him I really do hope DJ returns. U dont waste a #6 pick like that. Hawksman
We cannot just let Newble, DJ, and Glover go. I wish there was a way where we could keep all of them but that is not going to happen. I will be pleased with signing one of them, two at the most.
Lascar78
I agree. Especially as we aren't likely to draw great FA's. I hope we re-sign Newble personally. DJ too would be nice as a long-term investment if he's looking good
