Bowdler, who played for the Atlanta Hawks from 1999 to 2002, also is a veteran of the Wolves' minicamp. He played for Minnesota in the 2002 Shaw's Pro Summer League. After a season with Kinder Bologna in Italy, Bowdler said he's excited to be back in the States.

It pretty much should be, but we have to wait.

Payton leaving the Bucks is going to help us in the East. It opens up that 7th-8th position (in the standings) a little more. I now see the Bucks falling to about 11th-12th in the East.

Still, who will want to play against the Lakers?

Payton/who-cares/Kobe/Malone/Shaq

It's a freakin' all-star team! Even without Malone, it's scary.

DJ_Me,

I don't like the Lakers. Never have.

But, just because they floor an all-star team doesn't mean they will garner equivalent wins.

It is teamwork and chemistry. I don't know how they are going to fit that many ego's onto the floor.

Maybe that is the strategy, if you put all of these guys on the same court - there is no room for the opposing team. Wins by default.

Play.

It is true that having the right players doesn't always equal wins. Look at us! HA!

Still, all the Lakers would have to do is pull a Dallas and just shoot everyone's lights out. I say they average about 120 ppg if all goes through. Lets hope and pray that the chemistry clashes and ruins the team.

Oh, and I too never really liked the Lakers. I really dislike Kobe and Fox. Actually, the only member of the team that I do like is Shaq. Well, Payton too if it all goes through.

I HATE the Jazz, always have, always will. The only way I'll ever like Malone is if he stops flopping. Flopping is not basketball, it's p*ssyb*ll.

DJ_Me,

In regards to the flopping --- I can't stand it.

I believe the NBA ought to take a more "NHL-ish" stand on flopping. They ought to "T" up any person suspected of flopping, instead of granting them a foul.

That would definately add to the game and stop the messiness. It would ultimately stop the 2-3 guys on the ground, looking for calls.

I mean, I used to want to kill Kobe when he'd slap his own arm on a layup... hoping to get the call because of the noise.

Play.

I think the LAL are making a BIG mistake if they get Payton and Malone. And quite frankly, I hope they do make this mistake. I don't like the Lakers. I don't see any way that this will work. There is only one basketball, and now you have 4 guys who are used to being "the man" at some point on the floor all at once? Yeah, do your thing LA. IMO, LA is better off with role players who know they wont get the pub and the points. Portland stockpiled talent 3 years ago and it blew up on them. Same thing with the Mets in baseball. Championship teams are built buy individuals who fill roles. Not just talent. A Laker team of Kobe, Shaq, Mailman, and GP can only win the title on NBA Live 04. Just my opinion...

every team would have 1 ALLSTAR and 1 sidekick (almost allstar). how fun would that be! if u had no idea if ur team was gonna lose to the clippers or the lakers! it would be more surprising and the team with the biggest heart will come on top.

thats only a dream. i wish it would happen, but it wont.

------------------------------------------------

as far as the lakers go. This is the present, their future is filled with old veterans (except Kobe). Isint Shaq at his prime right now? Let them enjoy it while they can.

In 5-10 years, the Lakers could be one of the worse teams in the league.
