The following was taken from the "Atlanta Hawks Clubhouse" section of espn.com website:

"NEWS AND NOTES

The sale of the Hawks, Atlanta Thrashers and Philips Arena operating rights from AOL Time Warner to Dallas businessman David McDavid is complete with the sides signing the deal July 16, ESPN Radio in Dallas reported. The deal is pending the approval from the NBA and NHL."
