Plainview1981
Of course it won't. People don't really care about the truth. The prove is that the country elects scumbags like Bush to be President. But really, not many people will care anyway. The tv ratings reflect that. Plainview1981
If the Hawks were a decent road team, Boston would have lost in that first round. I don't remember which game it was..... Atlanta was only down like 6 or 7 in the 3rd before Bibby and Marvin missed some open shots. I think it was game 5?
dlpin
In a month no one will remember this. Because the truth is, the vast majority of champions struggle at times during the playoffs, we just forget about it afterwards, with all the myth building that goes on once someone is crowned. Lakers in 2000 went 3-2 against the eigth seed, and lost 8 games in a time when round 1 was still best of 5. Those houston teams went the max number of games in 2 series also. The 88 lakers had 3 straight 7 game series. I could go on... I understand your personal dislike for the celtics, but the thing is, if they win it all it will not be in any unusual way. Sure, we probably wont be comparing them to the great teams of all times, but its certainly not unusual the way theyve gone about it.
AtLaS
Quote: Them winning really shows the lack of great teams in the league. Or it could be that the NBA has gotten more talented and minimized the gap between elite and lesser teams. Honestly, I don't think the Celtics played any worse on the road than at home. We just played so much better. Smith hitting every possible jumper he threw up in games 3 and 4, and Joe Johnson going off was the difference. The Celtics scored the same at home or on the road, the Hawks just played insane in front of their home crowd. Cleveland isn't as bad as you make them seem. They are a great defensive team with a true superstar, and a bunch of players who can make their jumpers. Playing good defense will always keep teams in games. AtLaS
Quote: It doesn't matter. Do you think a great team would get taken to 7 games by two mediocre franchises? What kind of champion losses like 6 road games in a row? What kind of championship team has scoring efforts like these: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=280506002 http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=280508002 http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=280510005 http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=280512005 http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=280516005 http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=280520002 http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=280526008 http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=280610013 Greatness? I think not. Before the playoffs started, I figured they would win. However, I expected far more impressive performances than what they've given. The reason is because they are BOTH great defensive teams, and they BOTH want to walk the ball up the court and play half court offense. That leads to low scoring games regardless of who's playing. I will admit Ray played like garbage, though.

Plainview1981
Well, I had a response post, but honestly since the games are heavily manipulated it really isnt worth the trouble.
