Also hated the yellow uniforms, I think we should go back to the pac mans as well. The blue and red just doesn't seem to represent the hawks to me. I like it but its just weird.

it's sad the we don't have enough identity.

when you see purple and gold, you know it's the lakers. when you see blue and white, it's the knicks. same as the bulls or the blazers or even the jazz. what are we really?

^^^ The best way at establishing an identity is by winning plain and simple. People yearn for the pacman red and yellow days but seem to forget or have no knowledge of the fact that the only time the franchise won a championship was when it was wearing blue and red. That is the reasoning behind the rebranding and although it may not be iconic with the current generation of fans it still has historical significance with the franchise. It's similar to how Cleveland rebranded themselves with the wine and gold of their 70s teams despite sporting blue and silver for the entire 80s, 90s and early 2000s because that was the last time they were anywhere successful (sans title of course)

I'm sure they'll have red uni's at some point with blue and silver highlights. Won't be quite the same but close.
