Here are 6 guys who will be free agents. In my mind they are all upgrades to ZaZa.

Some could be worth the full MLE.......others the veteran minimum. We have to get one of these 6 guys next year to round out this current team. (Assuming JJ resigns).

D. Lee is too expensive and not the true big we need.

Heywood is too expensive since I will have is the MLE to sign other team's FAs.

Plan B guys:

Oberto

K. Brown

Craig Smith

Amir Johnson

Camby is of course the ideal backup big on this team. He brings what we need in rebounding and shot blocking. We'd have to unload ZaZa but if were able to SnT Z and a 2nd rd. pick for Camby that would be great.

If Ilgauskas turns the Hawks down now, it's because he got a two-year offer from someone. (Probably Cleveland).

Shaq won't come to a team that isn't a title contender.

Wallace isn't leaving Detroit.

Oberto is done. REALLY done.

Miller has always talked about wanting to play near his home, so he won't be coming to the South.

That leaves Jermaine, Kwame, and Camby...

I'd try to get Kwame AND Camby, but the problem will be the luxury tax.

Why on earth would we want both Kwame and Camby? If we do get Camby and keep Zaza, we don't need to be spending any more than the minimum to sign a 4th-string center.

And Z wouldn't need a 2-year offer from Cleveland to go back there, I'd wager. He wants a ring, not guaranteed money.

Kwame better not get more than the minimum, nire, or some GM needs to be fired...

(It's either Kwame or some project like Siler. I'd prefer Kwame, personally).
