Premium Member Diesel Posted September 15, 2003 Premium Member Report Share Posted September 15, 2003 I have read many of the comments that JT has made and I believe him in him saying he wants out. The question is... How badly? I am definitely not for getting nothing for JT. But the question that comes to mind is... Is there some teams that can do a SNT with us. So today, I want to consider some SNT options for us if JT was truly signed starting at 12.05 million. JT/DD for Wilcox, Dooling, QRich. LAC has the money to make this deal happen. Atlanta gets a PF, a PG, and A SG out of this deal. JT is added to a very young, strong team in LAC. JT/Jaric/Maggette/Brand/Kaman. A very young team but one that will run and shoot. Atlanta is left with: Vaughn/QRich/Diaw/SAR/Theo. JT to Indy for Harrington/Tinsley. To me, this is a good deal as well. But we must find a shooter. Indy is able to do it because of the exceptions it recieved by trading Mercer and Miller (SNT) for Pollard. Atlanta is left with: Vaughn/Diaw/Harrington/SAR/Theo. With the need for a SG who can shoot from outside. JJ!!! However, chances are we would trade for one. I would trade for Barry out of Seattle. Nazr/1st top 13 protected for 3 years for Barry. At this point, what is there to lose?
Guest
Ship him to the Warriors. I'd say no to JJ.... He's the kind of player you don't want on a bad team. Sorta like Van Exel. It would be a push to get JT for Harrington alone.
Premium Member Diesel Posted September 15, 2003 Author Premium Member Report Share Posted September 15, 2003 Because of JT's BYC, only a handful of teams can take him unless Denver felt like taking a SG from one of these teams. For iNstance. You said Ship him to GS. GS would have to start by shipping Damp to Denver. Even if Denver went for this, GS would still have to come up with Something for us. Namely Richardson and Jones (if he can be traded).
Blunt91
JT for J. Rich sounds good in my book. We trade our tweener guard for a up and coming shooting guard who is very athletic.
Premium Member Diesel Posted September 15, 2003 Author Premium Member Report Share Posted September 15, 2003 Actually, I think EMUSS would do that portion of the deal, however, I don't think he would give Damp to Denver for Free? Maybe Denver send GS a 1st (protected). Then you have your trade: Damp to Denver. JT/1st (Denver-protected) to GS. JRich/Popeye Jones to Atlanta. JV/JRich/CC/SAR/Theo. We'd really need to send Nazr to Memphis for Person in a hurry. Or maybe Nazr for Barry.
