No, Boston would still have Delonte, you remember Doc's original PG up there? They wouldn't have to shuffle Allen and Pierce to PG and have them play 40+ minutes there. They even have a rook and then Daniels who can play point forward to back that up. That's perimeter depth.

Again we had Marvin then we had a 6'5" player that we knew had knee surgery and had missed most of preseason and all of camp. It's not that "oh they are rarely injured at the same time" its that one was already nursing his way back from an injury leaving just 1 healthy body ahead of him. Even if the plan was to start Jamal to increase that depth we'd be faced even more with the other issue, perimeter defense.

If LA lost Artest and Barnes, If Boson lost Pierce and Daniels, If Orlando lost Reddick and Carter or Dwight and Gortat...I could go on and on...but any team losing a starter and the first bench player at one position will be difficult to overcome.

Let's do this again because apparently people don't get it.

Did any of these teams walk into the season with only one healthy body at any singular position? You are talking about two people getting injured at the same time when clearly the case here is one player is already injured to begin with.

Seriously, are people ignorant to the fact Mo had knee surgery to repair an injury in August? Did you think he just had a hangnail removed? Whatever, you think we got plenty wing depth at the 2-3 that can defend worth a damn, never mind my opinion otherwise.

Lets see...... Kobe was coming off knee Surgery..back up Shannon Brown, Chris Paul coming off Surgery,..traded his back up Collison....Andrew Bynum had surgery still hasn't played and these are all starters. Brandon Roy had surgery during the playoffs and was back in 8 dayes playing (not effective but playing none the less) .If a team determines that a player who had surgery would be ready for camp, they build the team accordingly. With surgeries, it's always difficult to tell how a player will respond after surgery...some heal quickly, some don't.

Did Kobe, Roy or Paul miss training camp and preseason? With the surgery we clearly saw that Mo wasn't ready for the season so that was our definitive answer as to whether or not we needed more depth. Seriously all your examples are useless because you are ignoring the one example that matters to us. The guy missed camp, didn't even start playing basketball till preseason, had a few complications then only plays 15 minutes in 1 game of the season before having to have another procedure done......Seriously just stop, everything points to him not being fully healthy if healthy at all. What else do you need to determine that?

Took some searching because preseason stats aren't kept like the regular season's but Mo missed all of camp, played in only 3 out of 7 preseason games for a total of 33 minutes, 14 minutes as the highest in any of those games and now he has missed 6 out 7 regular season games and at minimum another 2 games before he thinks he can make a return on Friday.
