Just saw Harry the Hawk "jump on it" dancing in New Orleans

I guess I've never noticed this before but is it normal for a teams mascot to be at a game with 2 completely separate teams? I just saw him dancing with the Hornet mascot towards the end of their game with the Blazers and thought it was weird seeing them dance together in a game that the Hawks weren't playing in.
