dickaufan12
So, now Ekezie's down. Where does this leave us? About here: JT/DD/JV Glover/Diaw/Hansen SJax/Nailon SAR/Hendu Theo/Nazr IL: CC, (maybe we keep OE here) I think that this team can still succeed. Anybody with me? Premium Member Diesel Posted October 17, 2003 Premium Member Report Share Posted October 17, 2003 From Billy Knight's words, I don't think we will hold on to Ekizie... However, there might be room for him when he heals... NEXT season. Ekizie showed us that we could probably use a big man with some size. To stick with that principle, I say we give Jameel Watkins a chance after Houston Cuts him. Yao is playing some awesome ball and he has Cato and Ameechi behind him. I think Watkins will be cut but Watkins is not so bad. http://www.nba.com/nbdl/players/jameel_watkins.html He can come in and rebound and block shots. Admin capstone21 Posted October 17, 2003 Admin Report Share Posted October 17, 2003 Mil just released Jason Caffey. He would be a good fit at our 5th big f/c. He would play behind SAR/Hendu/Theo/Nazr. If one of them go down he is a better option to help fill in some minutes then a lot of the other big guys out there. thecampster
This ought to tick someone or two off here but if it's a big bruising rebounding body we want, why not Alvin Jones. Not a starter mind you, but one [censored] of a big body and shot blocker of the bench.
Boondocks
We could go for youth and stash Josh Powell on the IL (Dallas has no room for him)
Iman
That's always been my choice, Alvin Jones Jr. Barring injuries, I really dont see our 5th bigman getting any playing time but it would be good to have backup just for those few foul/injury problematic nights. I really think we need more of a center body like Jones over Ekezie anyways.
