If I had to guess we will probably resign teague, do our best to resign korver/harris, maybe go after al jefferson....and well.....hell...honestly probably fill those other spots in with whoever and try to trade for a high drafted player.

hmmm maybe not

That what I want to do but I dont think this franchise can afford to.

2014 is only one year away.It is not like it is a 10 year plan. If we fail in FA this year do it the OKC way. Get a superstar (Wiggins/Parker) and stock up on picks.

Either get a superstar or draft one.

So if no Dwight and no Paul in his first full offseason it's automatically a failure by Ferry? Wow pretty narrow and unreasonable expectations there. I'll give the man a couple of off-seasons before making any real reservations about his abilities as a GM.

I don't think he was calling Ferry a failure; I think he is just saying if he isn't able to sign anyone in the offseason what's next which I believe the correct answer is to stay patient. Don't make any rash moves, i.e. trade for Gay or sign Iggy, just stay patient, flexible, and as competitive as possible and be ready to pounce on a player when they become available. Ferry did well selecting Jenkins and Scott so I trust that he'll continue to be money in the draft. IFWTSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Maybe so but the exclamation point after the words "strikes out" seems to read otherwise. I could be wrong though. It wouldn't be the first nor the last. If I was reading too far into it then I apologize.

I never saw the need for Lou Williams who is a 6th man if we did not think that we were about to try and compete. I still think something tells the front office that we are getting someone that will put us into another tier of teams. I don't see why anyone would take Dwight 100% for his word though

I believe either Levenson or Ferry had their heart set on an Atlanta homecoming and that's why Lou and Morrow were brought in. It's known that Dwight is friends with Josh, but he is also good friends with Lou and Morrow. If the homecoming doesn't happen, I'm thinking Morrow will be gone, we'll try to sell Horford, Teague, and Williams for a few years, and hope that Jenkins and future rookies continue to develop.I'm still not believing that the Dwight chances are dead though. I want to hear it from Dwight that he isn't coming, not Broussard's and until I do, those threads regarding Broussard's comments belong in the 'Trade Ideas' section. Right now, it just sounds to me that ESPN is attempting to keep Dwight out of middle-market Atlanta and hate on us once again... :expletive:Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

As long as you have been on these boards, you should know by now that JTB over uses exclamation points in threads... lolSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The Louis deal is very economical given it's amount, the years and, of course, the fact that he performed well above it both for us and in the past. I didn't see it as something that any GM would turn down given the chance to ink it. Louis' versatility would also allow him the ability to start as a 1/2 or 6th man no matter the configuration the team has now and into the future. The ACL injury hampers that now though as it will be close to a year too fully recover.

I agree to a certain point but I figured that they brought him in to be the 6th man and usually teams that are not trying to be competitive or win anything worth talking about don't go after specialists. I know he is versatile but I took the signing just like I took the Jenkins drafting because there were better talents that I still think will turn out better than Jenkins available. I just feel that we were going after specialists for a reason and I don't see that reason unfolding.
