We are running the same system but our talent level is not equal.....yet!

His game is so fundamentally sound, that he could probably play at a high level for another 3 years, if his body held up.

That's the part people don't understand. Duncan's game never relied on athleticism/size...so the drop off isn't the same as he ages. Moreover Horford, while productive, is not the same kind of player. He's heavily reliant upon midrange shots and "hustle" plays without the ball. He gives us points and rebounds...but he doesn't give us reliable, high%, low post offense.

Also Jeff Teague =/= Tony Parker...and this core does not have contending/championship experience.

We should be (and I hope we are) working on who the Hawks are...not living in the shadow of a franchise that we WANT to imitate.
