Melo's going somewhere... should it matter to Ferry?

Would you rather see him land in the Western Conference... say HOU... or in the Eastern... say, with CHI? Does it matter where the Hawks are concerned?

Imagine Lebron and Melo heading west. The east is enough of a joke as it is.

 

I like the NBA etc system with 8 best teams from east vs 8 best west etc, its what I grew up on and I dont want to see it go, but when the east continues this way the arguments for breaking up the system become stronger and stronger.

 

So no, let Melo join Chicago as long as we get Lebron.

So, should we be helping HOU get Melo... I ask b/c there's a line of reasoning that says we should offer a contract to Parsons that complicates Morey's life, of course.

It doesn't matter to me...I don't see him as a difference make like LeBron. Chicago is probably his best fit

On a pure basketball POV, I want Melo and James to stay in the East, but on different teams.  The East is pathetic.  My basketball brain would love it if Lebron went back to Cleveland and Melo signed with Bulls or Knicks.  But me being a fan of the Hawks says I'm tired of not having an ECF visit and I'd like it if the path to the top was smooth sailing.

I don't care where melo goes as long as it's not to the Bulls or to team up with lebron somewhere.  Him going out west would be nice as he always kills us.
