He's NOT overpaid based on the going rate of salaries at the time he signed the contract. MJ was making over $30 million at the time KG signed the deal and Juwan Howard and Shaq had just signed huge $100 million plus deals as well. It's not his fault that he signed the last big contract before the collective bargaining agreement was changed.

I'm certainly not saying that KG is as good as Shaq but if you give Kobe to Minnesota and Wally to LA and let the two teams play, I think Minnesota would have a damn good chance to win.
