I was reading in the WP where Richard Halmilton has asked for a major extension this yr instead of Next. I was thinking about it and Washington's need right now. If it were possible, would you:

Trade JT/CC to Washington for Rip/Heywood.

I think I would.

Here's my rationale for Both teams:

1. Rip is a scorer.

2. We need a Big Man like Heywood. Having him makes trading Nazr a possibility. It's possible we can then trade Nazr for a BU PG/C... One deal that comes to my mind immediately is Nazr/Toni/Hendu to Portland for Davis/Stoudmire/Randolph...

That would be interesting.

3. We lose CC's contract.

Reasons why Washington would do it.

They play JT at the Point and move Hughes in at the 2... Hughes and Davis.

They need better gaurd play.

Their future becomes:

JT/Hughes/Jeffries/Laettner/Brown.

See look again first a trade for Reef then he is trying to trade JT! WOW this is really wierd. First of all JT is way better then Rip. Second of all JT and Reef are our franchise players I've said it a million times. 3rd of all Rip fot JT? O'neal for Reef? LOL look at this lineup:

The proposed trade really only works if you get the second one as well...without it, no way I trade JT for Rip...just too many "what ifs." While the foresight is appreciated, making one trade so that another can be made is pretty risky...

you get them both, I'd do it, much as I'd miss JT.
