Why is Walmart so Dominant?

Info, I heard listening to Clark Howard today amoung other sources...

Walmart - 256 Billion dollars in retail sales last year.... DANG.

100 million persons a week visit Walmart.

Walmart has the 2nd largest (capacity) computer in the world. Larger than anything in US Government. They use it to keep tabs on shoppers. They are like Big Brother. They know everything you buy, so that they can predict what they need to sale at what time of year. If you're not using Cash, Walmart Knows a lot about you.

MOST IMPORTANTLY...

Efficient Business skills.

WalMart has mastered being in a position of power. They have changed the market so that now they are not under the will of the manufacturer... But instead, they force the manufacturers to meet their demands.... It's their purchasing power.

One economist said that the manufacture sits before Walmart Naked because Walmart does their homework and know everything about the manufacturer...

Then there's China.

It is said that if Walmart was a company, it would be one of China's top ten exporters.

When you think about that, that's amazing.....

So because of Walmart's saavy Business and goal of haivng the lowest price they have changed the global economy and will always have the lowest price...

If Walmart was a country, they would be one of China's top ten Exporters...
