Premium Member Diesel Posted February 24, 2005 Premium Member Report Share Posted February 24, 2005 I see the potential for the following trade: Walker/Delk/D. Smith to Milwaukee for Redd/Van Horn... Milwaukee is in a bad position because Redd will opt out of his contract for more money. What we get is 3 months to work on Redd and to allow him to see how he would fit in Atlanta. We take on Van Horn's big contract (for 1 yr) but we get out of Delk's. We don't lose any picks. I would try to parlay Harrington into a pick of somesort by trading him. I might even call Washington up and see how Harrington for Kwame sounds. Lue/Redd/Chillz/Smoove/Kwame.... With Diaw/Van Horn/Drobs off the pine... Buzzard
You are killing me Diesel. No bad contracts. And please, please, please not Harrington for Kwame. Hell, he will probably be the cheapest fa big man in the bunch this year. Keep Harrington and go after Kwame in free agency.
Premium Member Diesel Posted February 24, 2005 Author Premium Member Report Share Posted February 24, 2005 Kwame will not be a FA this year. Not really. He's a rFA. I bet that Washington Matches any deals sent to Kwame... However, if we could get Washington to consider Kwame/1st for AH and some seconds, I think we should. Why would they do it? Washington will be looking to do what it can to keep Hughes. That said, I think they don't want to weigh themselves down with a 1st round contract. Not sure if they have one but if they do, they might trade it. Kwame/1st to Atlanta AH/2 2nds to Washington.

Spiral
Atlanta trades: PG Tony Delk (11.2 ppg, 2.2 rpg, 1.9 apg in 24.7 minutes) Boris Diaw-Riffiod (No games yet played in 2004/05) Atlanta receives: PF Kwame Brown (5.6 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 0.9 apg in 15.9 minutes) Change in team outlook: -5.6 ppg, +1.2 rpg, and -1.0 apg. Washington trades: PF Kwame Brown (5.6 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 0.9 apg in 15.9 minutes) Washington receives: PG Tony Delk (11.2 ppg, 2.2 rpg, 1.9 apg in 24.7 minutes) Boris Diaw-Riffiod (No games yet played in 2004/05) Change in team outlook: +5.6 ppg, -1.2 rpg, and +1.0 apg. TRADE ACCEPTED Due to Washington being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Washington had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You have been assigned Trade ID number 2311345
