DawsonsCreek
Initial reports by DraftExpress regarding a second private workout with Andrew Bynum appear to be right on the money. Multiple sources have confirmed that Portland indeed did workout Bynum on Thursday in their facilities, and that the Trailblazers will be making a move on draft night to trade out of the #3 spot and take Bynum. According to what we’ve heard, the Lakers are out of the picture right now as a new team has emerged with a better offer. That team appears to be the Utah Jazz. A deal that could very well go down on draft night to satisfy both sides would be Portland sending Utah the #3 pick along with Ruben Patterson in return for the #6 pick, Kirk Snyder and Gordan Giricek. The deal works under RealGM.com’s trade checker. With the #3 pick, the Jazz would select Deron Williams, and with #6 Portland would take Andrew Bynum. The Jazz would try to fill their gaping hole on the wing with the #27 pick by selecting Matt Walsh. The problem is that both the Hawks and especially the Bobcats are aware of what’s going and could make a move to sabotage the trade by either taking Deron Williams at #2 or Andrew Bynum at #5. So if this trade goes through, I dont think the Charlotte deal takes place(both their number #1's for the hawks number 1.) Paul would be taken at #4 by New Orleans, leaving atlanta with no shot at the top 2 pg's. And I guess that makes sense since allegedly the Hawks are trying to move into the late first to draft Ukic. It seems to add up....but we will see.
jezmund
I've tried to stay out of the MWill vs. PG debate since I just want the best player regardless of position. I have the faith in BK to get us that player. So as far as that goes, I'll leave it at that. I do think, however, that getting a combination of Marvin/Ukic(or Jack) might be better than DWill(Paul)/some PF.
KB21
With the talk of Atlanta possibly trying to get one of Denver's two first round picks, it would definitely appear that Jarret Jack is the target for that pick. However, I would not rule out Randolph Morris.
jezmund
Especially after the poor workouts from Morris, he might indeed drop to the 2nd round. I think PG is on our minds if we get a 2nd 1st.
Admin
while I have not seen a great deal of him, by looking at his stats and reading the reports on him it seems that he has regressed each of the past 2 years. His A/To ratio is pretty frightening and he doesnt seem to be particularly overwhelming in any one area, simply good in most. I wouldnt be terribly upset if we moved up from 31 to get him though if it only costs us dollars. However that is only if we draft Marvin and also only if it looks like Morris wont be worth drafting. tmac13
I agree on Jack..I have not been impressed with his game since the Jackets NCAA run the season before last..He is a turnover machine..He does play decent defense and might hang his NBA hat on that. Plainview1981
Randolph Morris." Didn't he have a monster year last year at the High School game? Feel like he could be a really good player for the future.... Selecting him would soften the blow of drafting another forward. Hawks atleast would potentially one of the big things they really need.
