  1. Quote: I don't think he is worth that amount or even close to it, but I will definitely admit that I was wrong about what he would get. I with you on that one. I don't think he is worth that much either but Cuban will pay to get what he wants.
  2. Quote: Quote: I hope Sund match the offer right away and not have us waiting the seven day. Kill Philly plan early.. No way. You make them squirm, and don't allow them to grab any other free agents (like Childress) for seven days. Good Point...As a fan I just want to have peace of mind.

  4. Quote: Davis Mobley/Gordon Thornton Brand Kamen Not too bad if they can stay healthy. They will be exciting to watch.

  6. Thanks, I guess he would have no trade value to us.
  7. Cenk Akyol? Do he look like he might come over anytime soon?
  8. I hope he takes this off season to improve and take his game to another level. I hope Sekou keeps us updated on what he is doing and who is working with him. If he can not see that his is a key to the team success and not working hard then he needs to go.
  9. There is no way the Lakers bring Smith in to play the 3. With Bynum coming back, and Gasol moving to the 4, they need someone defensive minded but who also consistenly score from the perimeter.
  10. I would be on board with this trade, but I see D. Ware seeking a trade as soon as it happens.
  11. Do anyone know if J. Richardson can play in the summer league?
  12. if this guy could make it to the big leagues he would be a freak I would love to watch. As for you should declare first: I think the batter should declare first. It's just like a pinch hitter who has to be declared in the game before it's decided if the pitcher will pitch to him or not.
  13. Doc Rivers really impressed me with his pre-game, in-game, and post game motivation talks to his players.
  14. I know it was wishful thinking that Detroit would take him off our hands.

  16. Breaking news....Curry just hired as the Pistons coach. So forget Detroit interest in Woody.
  17. Quote: I think the Braves are one of the worst executing teams in the ML. This isn't anything new, as I've observed this in past years. They waste far too many runners who reach 3rd with less than 2 out. Could not agree more!
  18. Yeah he was out. I think Bobby was just frustrated they f*cked up and gave the game away. That lost hurts more than any one in recent memory. Our announcers were debating too why the Phils would allow Blanco to take second without a throw. It didn't make sense to no one.
  19. Quote: My top 2 would be Fratello and Mark Jackson but I think the ASG will elect to go a cheaper route. These are my top 2 also
  20. The Braves have a problem playing ABC baseball. How many times times do you see a leadoff double and the next hitter can not get down a bunt or make a productive out by hitting the ball to the right side to move the runner along and the inning ends with that runner still on the bases. The Braves also needs to get a killer instinct. If they come out and score 3, 4, 5 runs in the first inning you can pretty much bet they will not score another run that game. (They reminds me of a basketball team who goes up by 25 and starts shooting threes. taking bad shots or just plays the opposite of what got them the big lead.) None of our players seems to be willing to do the little things to manufacture runs. We do not have a fast team or a base stealing team but we seldom play hit and run or just put pressure on the defense by sending the few runners who are capable of stealing a base. I know we have lived over the years by the long ball, but this team need to change their approach and start learning to play small ball. IMO
  21. Quote: Woody is and was a transition coach. If there are better coaches out there why not upgrade while you can. Why not try to get Avery Johnson or Del Harris (my choice for years) the coaches that are out there now are a vast improvement over what we have now. It doesn't make any since. We did good in the playoffs but the regular season was a mess. We underachieved and that goes the coaches head. We were successful in the playoffs because of the players and the Atlanta home crowd. How the ASG handles Woody will let me know how they really feel about the franchise. Why not get better if you can???? I think that while they may possible want another coach those other guys are going to demand more money than what they would have to pay Woody. ANy coach that was successful in the Western conference needs to be checked out if they are on the market. 3 games out of 89 probably saved him his job. Only in Atlanta will this be put of with and it is the acceptance of this kind of mediocrity that will always keep this franchise in the basement. I will go on record right now "IF WE KEEP WOODY WE WILL NOT MAKE THE PLAYOFFS NEXT YEAR". Too many other teams are getting better and have actual offensive sets. Agreed 100% I wanted to post the same sentiments but I wanted to wait until the euphoria us of taking the Celtics to seven games ended. I was so proud of our team but it had noting (IMO) to do with the coach. Thoughout the whole season he has shown us he could not make an in-game adjustment to save his life and it came out in the playoffs. That's why we could not be competitive in Boston. That's why so many medicore players have career games against us. We have talented players on this team and these guys came through in front of our home crowd and played their hearts out. Everyone wants to give Woody an extension because we were the by product of being in the sorry ass eastern conference. 37 wins do not (IMO) deserve anything but a swift kick out the door. We need to do something quick before all of these REAL coaches are off the market.
  22. Now the Hawks need to do thier job!
  23. If Woody has the ability at all to get his team to play at a higher level and put away a team they should beat easily.
  24. Quote: Just thought I'd mention for those that didn't see it- in the 3rd quarter of the Lakers- Clips game on TNT last night, Reggie Theus gave his list of who he thought should win the major post-season awards, and he named Al as his rookie of the year. See, some people out there are taking notice, and on national TV too. That can only help Al (let's hope anyway). I think you meant Reggie Miller. Al also was Charles Barkley choice for ROY.
