I personally don't want a guy who only gives his all during a contract year. Guy has no soul and is just looking to get paid...not help a team win. Screw him IF he is really that type of person.

All I can say is when I see Foster play against us, he makes a positive impression. He hustles his ass off every play and quite honestly, gives us fits. Now many teams give us fits because we're not that good yet; however, you can't deny his aggression and productivity on the defensive end and rebounding. We would win more games with him and you can take that to the bank.

If we get Stephen Jackson in this trade, I will be seriously confused and pissed. We had better immediately trade his ass for somebody who we need. Please let it be Foster and a 1st for Gods sake!!!! Stephen Jackson...ecckkk!!!!

Very true Nicholas. I will be so happy if we get Foster and a 1st. Foster will not only help us on the floor but also in mentoring Zaza and Shelden as to how to play defense in the post in the NBA. He should be a great pickup and put the Hawks in position to seriously challenge for the bottom of the playoff ladder in the east.

Thanks for the info. Still I have to question this until more information comes forth. I really hope we're getting Foster and a 1st next year. For me, that is enough to make me happy.

I have to disagree with you Texas..to an extent. The opinions of some ARE more valuable than the opinions of others. It's not the job or fame that make anyone's opinion any better. It's the reasoning that leads that person to their opinion. While there have been many people to obtain jobs that would seemingly denote expertise or credibility, it's obvious to anyone with a close grasp of common sense and rationality to spot the frauds who have played on special interest or emotion based ideology(I agree whole-heartedly with you on Cynthia). However, someone who shows over time an ability to think clearly and present ideas logically can be said to arrive at opinions that happen to be right. I know that offends people to say that there is a right and wrong but in this case with Sekou, he is right. It IS way too early to be judging so definitely the future of these rookies. It makes perfect sense whether you like it or not.

Correct me if I'm wrong anybody but even if we do acquire Iverson somehow, if we decided next year that it isn't working out, couldn't we find a suitor(probably New York) to just take him right back off our hands? It's not like he's going to all of a sudden suck even if he didn't make us better. Someone would take that contract until he just flat out can't play anymore.

I must say, I'm on board with Texas Pete too. Sheldon's performance thus far can only mean he has no future with us or any NBA team. I don't mean to sound pessimistic but I highly doubt we are getting what some of you are proposing just for Al. I mean he's good but not worth an unconditional 1st, a rising star in Ellis and a defensive big(even if that big has a terrible contract).

Unlike some, maybe even most, I would be willing to give Belkin a fair chance to win me over and prove the consensus wrong. If he shows he is not going to run this franchise on the cheap, with little concern for winning and more for profit-making, then I will be happy. If he clearly states why he has caused this mess to go as far as he has with clarity that makes sense on some level, then I'll be willing to give him a chance. Basically though, he has a mountainous task ahead of him to clean up his image with fans. It would take more than a good S&T with Al to win me over. But if he's up to the task, I'm willing to give him my ear.

Foyle would actually be great to have coming off the bench for defensive help. I would totally do just Foyle and the unprotected pick..in a heartbeat. Especially considering what's going on with the ownership right now.

I caught a little of it. I watched Rock Star INXS and it was really good. The last two guys had really good original songs. Most of the contestants were pretty good too. It sure blows American Idol out of the water as far as my type of musical taste. There's just obviously not the "hype" surrounding it like American Idol. Remains to be seen if this Supernova thing will be as good. I kinda doubt it's gonna keep my interest.

In case you don't remember, Nazr was a Hawk for a while. He is another role player center. He would not be THAT great of an addition to our team. I remember times where he couldn't even jump high enough to dunk. Sounds crazy but I remember seeing it with my own eyes. Guy was just a big body with better than average offensive skills.

If he can drive to the basket as some say he can, that is something we can benefit from despite his poor shooting. Sounds easy to say but just drive and pass it out to JJ, Marvin, Smoove, Salim, Lue, Chill, etc.....swish baby..all day long. It's not as if we didn't have a good 3pt. shooting team last year.
