  1. If you take away LeBron and Joe I think you could argue we have a better team, but LeBron puts them over the top. We could definitely beat them, though.
  2. Mason was scoring everything he touched? It seems like every post you just throw something in that you pull out of thin air. Like Marvin only having a couple of 20 point games last year. If someone going 4-11 upsets you then I'd say our defense did pretty good. There were a handful of ugly breakdowns, but we held them under 40% shooting, blocked 9 shots, and had 10 steals. That's pretty good with or without Josh.
  3. That's a little silly. They may not win, but there's no reason to say "no way they beat the Bulls."
  4. Doesn't he have to wait 30 days to sign with another team? Or is it just 30 days to sign back with Detroit?
  5. No, he thought Bob was saying they had 5 fouls in the quarter, which they obviously didn't.
  6. Nique as a player = God. Nique as an analyst = Dear God. The worst tonight was when Bob was telling him that the Raptors only had 5 fouls in the first three quarters and Nique said, "That's really good for the Hawks." I agree with the above post, if we keep winning I don't really care, but if we go on a losing streak...
  7. Sucks that Smith is hurt, but at least it was only a sprain. I figured it was when he was walking out because he didn't need any assistance, but then I heard "crutches" and got a little nervous.
  8. Yep. The best split of all, in wins: 29.8/5.5/4.5 shooting .519/.488/.768. That's pretty sick. The numbers really dropped off in losses, though. Sick for a "third option" anyway.
  9. I think he COULD average over 25, but I don't think he will need to this year. He's playing great right now though and my only complaint is that he isn't getting to the foul line. I just hope he can be more aggressive this year when his shot isn't falling.
  10. He has already proven he can score 25 PPG for the majority of a season. If he can avoid injury then I'm positive he'll have his best season yet. And that doesn't necessarily mean he'll have his highest scoring average.
  11. Chris Johnson is a beast. Most years he'd be a lock for ROY, but he has the misfortune of coming into the league with Matt Ryan.
  12. We'd still be far from an unstoppable team on offense, but it would make things easier if teams needed to respect that.
  13. I said I would give Woodson props when he deserved them and so far he has definitely earned any credit he's getting. The offense still needs some work, but when you can hold a great offensive team under 80 you can afford to play a little sloppy.
  14. LOL, I was watching "GameTime" on NBA TV last night and when they showed our highlights they were just showing Chris Paul talking about how good he is, then the showed the final score and said "How about the Hawks? And here's the final in Golden State..."
  15. It's nice not being forced to just focus on that 8th seed. Looks like we could actually have a race in the SE this year.
  16. It's not as simple as just taking 2-3 steps back and finding the stroke. Marvin isn't a particularly strong minded person, he has obvious confidence issues. I can see him having a bad game and not trying another one for a couple of weeks. But I'm not going to talk bad about his three anymore until he gives me a reason to. He shot it perfectly tonight, I hope it becauses a consistent part of his game.
  17. The people acting like Marvin is a proven deep threat even though tonight was his first made three in a year.
  18. Pretty obvious. :computer8:
  19. I wouldn't be mad at 36%, but 300 three's in a season...
  20. The standings have been messed up, it had us above Toronto when we shouldn't have been and now it has us above 4-0 Detroit. I wish Toronto won tonight so we could be playing for the #1 seed on Friday and the last team to be undefeated in the east.
  21. True, but that doesn't really have anything to do with what I said.
  22. Smith has had great games from 3, too. It's hilarious how quick people will jump on any bandwagon. Still, like I said, I want to be wrong.
  23. And his new jockriders will act like he has been doing this from day one. It's a two way street. Be happy with the game and hope he can build on it.
  24. You do realize 38% is a good percentage, right? How can you say a guy who only took 10 three-pointers all last season (only 6 or 7 were legitimate attempts) will almost certainly be a decent 3pt shooter this year? He has only made 23% in his career and he can't even finish a fairly easy 3pt drill in practice. I hope I'm wrong, but I just don't see it.
