I'd love to hear how insiders are responding to this news and if they view a follow-up move as the catalyst for this... obviously, we have our own reaction, but more context would be helpful!
-
The part that has me concerned was that it seemed to be both the Hawks intention as well as Cam's for him to play in the Summer League... until it wasn't. I believe Cam tweeted something just a week ago about the Hawks SL team being like the USA Olympic team (implying he'd be on it).
-
Any insight as to why he would be pulled from the Summer League roster?

I think it’s a sign that Delon Wright became available and Schlenk views him as an upgrade to the original LouWill plan. A heist from TS taking two negatives (plus a 2nd rounder) and coming out with Delon Wright!

Official Game Thread: Hawks at 76ers -- GAME 5
ryandauwalker replied to lethalweapon3's topic in Homecourt
One thing that seems to get forgotten… this team has incredible depth. No Hunter or Reddish. Bogi and Huerter were practically useless tonight. Capela severely struggled. And yet, we still have other guys that can carry water outside of Trae (JC, Lou, Gallo). The way this team is designed, we can have multiple people really struggle and ultimately not miss a beat as a team because odds are, a few guys will go off and meaningfully contribute… kudos to Schlenk.- 873 replies

I think there is a misconception that I am looking ahead and assuming we will cruise through the series... that is NOT the case. IF we win, I was asking who you thought were a more favorable matchup.
-
I’m definitely not trying to count our chickens before they hatch - just trying to develop more of a rooting interest in the other series.
-
As Hawks fans, who do we want to win this series?
-
@NBASupes - when do we start hearing from your connections on what could be happening around the deadline? Apologies if I missed it if it's already been mentioned.

Did we have any idea Bogi was coming back soon? It feels like it went from "no idea when he's coming back" to "all clear" in 24 hours. Also during those 24 hours, LP got fired. It has to just be a weird coincidence - right?- 237 replies

Boston is moving the 30th pick... supes?? EDIT: To Memphis... shoot!
-
So far, so good for the Hawks - I like the pick!
-
Personal preference: mute Woj and Shams as they’ll front-run your TV broadcast and that ruins some of the fun.

It seems like there was a lot of scoop coming from nbasupes and thecampster, but there hasn’t been a peep for a while. Is that because things have come to a screeching halt as teams are waiting for the first domino to fall? Has everything that can be said already out there? I appreciate the insiders filling us in!!

Did he say that Dwight is only 6' 8"? No way that's right...

Zach Lowe was not a fan of the Hawks summer moves
ryandauwalker replied to 615Hawk's topic in Homecourt
My apologies, I meant to say I prefer Millsap and Howard. We just got news that the projected salary cap dropped from $107 million to $102 million so that might be helpful. -

Let me say first that I like Millsap + Horford better than Horford + Howard. I think we are going to be a better team than most people think this year. Nevertheless, I am worried about what we should do with Millsap. Would love for him to resign for a reasonable amount next year but I find that hard to fathom. -
No way he survives. http://on-ajc.com/1nP7hMQ

I'm sure you're a good guy in person, nbasuperstar40, but this just gets so tiring. You are on the site, state your opinion like they are facts, change teams, come back, get banned, apologize, Dolf brings you back, then you continue to act like a know-it-all, and it never stops. Everything is drama, every opinion is radical, and you are always trying to make bold claims.Maybe I'm the only one, and if so I apologize, but the season hasn't even started and it's already getting ridiculous.

From a salary perspective, this works: Lou Williams/Cunningham/Stevenson for Granger. I hate that we wouldn't keep Lou, and I cannot imagine Indiana taking this deal, but it's doable. Add a 2nd round if your heart desires, but I wouldn't give up a 1st.

Brand the latest vet to choose Hawks over others
ryandauwalker replied to Nicholasp27's topic in Homecourt
I don't know why I am responding because I think you are unwavering in your opinions, but nobody claims that he is the missing piece to our championship puzzle. In our eyes (speaking for most of Hawksquawk), for the first time in a long time, we feel as though we are on a good road to eventually build a legitimate franchise that can compete for championships. Nobody is saying we have arrived this year, but we are building a solid foundation based on team-first, high BBIQ individuals, high value contracts, and versatile players. Also, we have an unbelievable amount of flexibility and can adapt depending on how this season goes. Each one of the things I have listed have not been true (maybe outside of BK's 6'8" short-lived fantasy) for us. Obviously negative things can happen, but we have a reason to be excited. Is the future uncertain? Of course, but it always has been and it is for everybody. Relax! -

*2013* Update: Hawks have agreed to deal with Paul Millsap

The thing that is most baffling to me is because going apeshit in the middle of FA when we're clearly not done... We have a new coach, a new system, a new everything and people are already running for the hills before we play a single game #patience
