  1. There is no reason Cam can't at least finish at the rim even when his shot isn't going from 3. And if it isn't going from 3 nothing wrong with taking an open midrange shot to get yourself going instead of driving to the rim with nothing there and getting stuffed.
  2. I believe the Hawks want to get Damion Jones up to speed (edited: rather than up to speed, should say evaluated) don't forget he is a young guy too. I think TS may have more impact on that decision than Lloyd.
  3. I see your point, but it should only be for road games. There is no way Ressler wants to see Trae's minutes limited at the Farm.
  4. Looked a lot better than me shooting right handed as a lefty, but hey, I'm no NBA player
  5. Hopefully he gets some good looks without having to worry about re-injuring the shoulder.
  6. I think the assists would have been accurate with Collins and Heurter both healthy, in the most ideal scenario for Trae, he would have the money outside shooter and Collins then also the spacing that Heurter and Collins would create for Trae [EDIT: and TEAM!] yes the whole team would get better looks from 3. Also would allow him to score more efficiently with fewer shot attempts and more FTs, so not only would have more assists he would score just as much if not more. This is a 21 year old kid. Imagine what he will be capable of in his prime!
  7. About where the Pels were last offseason. 35-38 wins. I think I predicted 41 and 8th seed but 35-38 this year might get 8th seed anyway in this once again weak east, and if the Hawks don't get it, its an up and coming team with another talented piece or 2 (c'mon Brooklyn) to add.
  8. I seriously don't think they saw the strides Trae has made. Projections were made on a much more modest stats from Trae like 18 or 19 PPG, etc It is a shame Collins made that mistake and Heurter got injured because this team would probably be at least in the 8 seed right now if they were both with the team and healthy during what was the 10 game losing streak.
  9. a Jones travel cost him an assist. Jones played great on the roll otherwise. he is good offensively but needs a lot of work defensively especially D rebounding.
  10. It isn't an agenda for me at all, I like both guys. But lets be honest about Heurter, he isn't bad defensively, advanced stats are kind to him in that area. and he is much better offensively. Hunter in my mind will be better, when he becomes consistent. This can be said for 99% of rookies. They will both be valuable to the team if they both stay reasonably healthy.
  11. https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/h/huntede01.html https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/h/huertke01.html The sample size is limited for Heurter this year and he was recovering from injury most of it.. nonetheless in advanced stats he was better than Hunter - slightly defensively and significantly better offensively. The format excel friendly was all jacked up so I'll let you look for yourself if you're interested.

  13. Domino effect is exactly what I was thinking. Heurter had the learning curve Hunter is now going through. Talk about thrown into the fire. It wasn't supposed to happen like this those guys were going to get eased in the rotation.
  14. I think its safe to say both Kevin and Hunter have much room for improvement from a solid base.. Cam has more to prove.
  15. Losing 2 of top 3 players for an extended part of the season while having the NBA's strongest strength of schedule during that period is a challenge no coach in the NBA could deal with IMHO, no matter how deep the team is. If you just took Lebron away from the Lakers for a 25 game suspension before their 6th game most likely even they would have a losing record at this point.
  16. if he actually DID have 37, I think it would be in a blowout of the Bucks by the Hawks
  17. Glad you are safe brutha Spud! That is a scary moment.. something similar happened to me when I was driving early morning in a rare Dallas ice storm and hit black ice on a bridge. Guard rail only thing kept me from flipping over on an embankment.
  18. Toppin is a player BK would've like. Schlenk can stockpile wings now with the luxury of having a PG locked up. BPA baby.
  19. Agreed, when the 6ers made it to the finals it was all about defense and Larry Brown's coaching. in 00-01. That team had Theo Ratliff, Nazr Mohammed and Deke. Eric Snow and Raja Bell
  20. Exactly, and you KNOW Cam would blow up somewhere else if we gave up on him. This kid is going to start off slow but he still has a lot of promise and this learning on the job will pay dividends for him maybe even as early as January. Want to save this post see if I'm right. Hunter and Cam are both gonna be really good for us.
