  1. That's probably true and trust me I understand that but does horford and his daddy get that is the question?

  3. @GameTime brought this up and I thought it was interesting enough to do a poll. I'm starting to think @GameTime may be on to something! I think ferry is going to al horford our draft pick Adrain Payne to make horford happy! and by al horford, Payne I mean sticking him in a position that's not his natural position in the nba though he maybe able to hold it down. It never crossed my mind until now but if the hawks don't get a starting center like Monroe or someone else, Payne is probably the insurance to start beside horford while sap is shopped around. Maybe I'm looking too deep into it but as a hawks fan we don't come out on top in free agency very often so there has to be a backup plan and I don't think it's too crazy to think ferry/bud won't put Payne at center.
  4. I could have sworn Payne was 6'8...6'9 in shoes. Is he really a guy that can play center in the nba? If so I'm ok with that! Maybe sap will agree to come off the bench shall Payne shows he's starter quality.
  5. Me too but I guess I meant as far as center position goes.
  6. You think so?....I don't man I kinda believe this one. Why not keep Monroe over josh smith and just try to trade smith? It's the smarter thing to do and Gundy isn't dumb so....
  7. Yup that and they will probably do their best to trade smith over the regular season. I'm a little torn as I wanted him way more than deng but this always happens so I'm use to it. I just want to know if ferry/bud is ok with our bigs and plan to go into next season with this current big man rotation. FYI ....I hate we didn't go after spencer hawes...he wouldn't fill the need for post scoring or defense but we could have used that 7foot 3 point shooter when facing centers bigger than horford to spread them from the goal. Smh...let me stop I'm getting mad all over again.
  8. Quote from Gundy on Monroe: “I’m certainly not going to help other teams in terms of building their strategy or anything else. I’m just going to say Greg Monroe is a very important piece of the puzzle in Detroit and that we want him back very much." Link: http://www.basketballinsiders.com/nba-pm-pistons-monroe-staying-in-constant-contact/ -I don't see that as smoke I honestly think Gundy really wants him back as he has stated and it shouldn't be too shocking since we all know how hard it is to find a big man who has good post scoring. Anyways I'm cool with the sap/horford combo but I really fear horford is going to leave us if don't move him to pf regardless if he plays the center position well or not!...so do you think we target other bigs in free agency or how about we bring edy over early? Thoughts?
  9. I'm not! I'm just saying Miami isn't going over the lux tax, they never used bosh to the best of his abilities since he's been there...it's smarter to use bosh's money to make the team more deep! Just a smart thing to do at this point since lebron wants the max.
  10. Damn, Damn, Daaaammmmnnn!!!! Quote from Gundy: “I’m not going to get into the business side of things,” Van Gundy said. “I’m certainly not going to help other teams in terms of building their strategy or anything else. I’m just going to say Greg Monroe is a very important piece of the puzzle in Detroit and that we want him back very much." Man we can't get a break for shit! I like the sap/horford combo but I think horford leaves if he remains center regardless if he does well or not.
  11. As we know lebron and melo are holding the nba free agency hostage until they make a decision. However I believe it's going to play out like this.... Lebron: I think he returns to Miami along with wade no bosh. I think Riley is going to use bosh's cap to get loul deng or Ariza plus other assets or returning assets such as haslem. Melo: I don't think really affect us. Doesn't seem like the same role players we are going after are willing to follow melo where ever he signs. As for our hawks: I'm sorry but I think we are out of the race for deng as it would be smarter for Riley to let bosh walk and use his cap to make a deeper team and I think deng is first on the list. What now for the hawks?: Get Monroe! We need to get this guy for our center position I think it's even more important now than it's been before. I think Monroe and horford will be a great tandem with size that can learn to play together for years to come. He's not better than sap but he does provide true center size and post scoring.
  12. Does this mean he can possibly make the team?
  13. Trade wiggins?...I don't believe this rumor, it has to be the worse rumor I have heard since the beginning of free agency. Bogus, Bogus, Bogus.....
  14. Cleveland has no desire to trade wiggins, he's their future along with kyrie.....so how could this happen again?
  15. Sign and trade for wiggins?!!!!! Where in the hell did that come from? More importantly why would Cleveland do this, when they can sign lebron out right?
  16. I agree lol....but it's just a rumor hopefully it's false. If true deng can kiss my ass and we just move on to the next target.
  17. I don't know if it's true I'm just passing along the info I have received since hawks are after deng.
  18. I have read that Deng doesn't want to come to Atlanta unless jarret jack comes with him! I got that from a rumor online plus I have a family member up in ohio that confirmed hearing that on the radio. If ferry wants deng so bad looks like he's got to bring Jarrett jack with him.
  19. Lance but hawks aren't showing interest so I can deal with deng.
  20. Hmmmm I don't know...why not just sign deng out right.
  21. Ok I see the big deal in this kid Bazemore now! He barely played on GS and when he was traded in Feb. to LA this kid turned on the light switch and just went off! The hype is just potential but I trust coach bud and ferrys opinion and if coach bud feels strong about this guy than great! After all bud did speak with him last week face to face (I think I read that) Anyways check out dudes game log after being traded and actually getting minutes on the floor: http://m.espn.go.com/nba/playergamelog?playerId=6637&season=2014&month=2 No wonder are fans are hyped. Young guy with good size, very aggressive on defense, good athletic ability, his shot is questionable but in LA when he got time on the court he was 37 percent on the 3ball....I don't know guys he may develop to be something very special! Looks like he just need two things...... -another opportunity (check) -good coaching (check) Bring him home ferry! It's about time we have actually 2 guards with size!
  22. Lol no I don't think it's nbasupe....or is it?
  23. No my friend you can teach defense in the nba...I'm not sure where you got that from but it's possible to improve on defense in the nba just like its possible to improve an offense game.
  24. CBS sports on Greg Monroe: http://mweb.cbssports.com/nba/eye-on-basketball/24609472/nba-free-agency-looking-outside-the-superstars-for-elite-talent?v=1&vc=1 Greg Monroe, PF, Detroit Pistons: As we outlined here, Monroe's in a sticky situation in Detroit next to Josh Smith as a restricted free agent. But he's a player that many teams are probably overlooking. The reality is that post scoring in the modern NBA comes at a premium, but it's also on the verge of an explosion of talent. The last four draft classes have brought in some guys with exceptional post scoring talent. This is going to be an area of need for teams to compete with in the future, and Monroe is particularly skilled. Yes, he's a defensive liability, but he's also strong as a moose, as his nickname implies, and has great court awareness. Monroe may not be worth the max, but if you have a good core around him, he can get you to the next level. The Bulls might want to consider an offer if their plans for Carmelo Anthony fall through.
